Accokeek, MD (January 18, 2010) Beretta’s commitment to innovative advances within the shotgun market continues with the announcement of the new A400 Xplor Action and SV10 Perennia I shotguns. Based on award-winning designs, each new shotgun highlights the technological advances the name Beretta is synonymous with.
Both shotgun lines share the following revolutionary features: the recoil dissipating Kick-Off® system which reduces felt recoil by 60%; the lightweight Micro-Core recoil pad and the very best cold-hammer forged barrels in the world featuring the Optima Bore HP® geometry, delivering unparalleled ballistic performance. Their differences however make them unique to the style and history of their respective lineages.
A400 Xplor Action
Like all the A400 Xplors that have come before it, the A400 Xplor Action features the Blink® operating system that allows the shotgun to cycle 36% faster, and the anodized receiver that provides the best corrosion resistance treatment. The A400 Action receiver, uniquely colored for each addition to the A400 line, gleams with a beautiful bronze color appropriate to the upland environment it was meant for.
Chambered for 2 ¾” and 3” shells, the bronze receiver performs time and again in the field, verified by the new digital Gun Pod. Available as both a standard feature and as an aftermarket addition, the Gun Pod delivers a digital readout of the ambient air temperature, the cartridge pressure of the round fired and the overall number of rounds fired through the shotgun; vital information serious upland hunters cannot live without. Visit www.A400Xplor.com for more information on this new upland shotgun, and the entire A400 family of shotguns.
SV10 Perennia I
Like the Perennia III that preceded it, the SV10 Perennia I’s new aesthetics and technical design are unmatched and nowhere is that more evident than in the re-designed receiver. The reinforced hinge pins and deeper breech shoulders reinforce the lockup between the receiver and barrels while the trapezoidal shoulders improve the efficiency of the lock-up. Nano-Ceramic fore-end iron reduces wear and corrosion, while the adjustable ejection/extraction allows the shooter to select between automatic ejection or mechanical extraction.
Long lasting and meticulously engineered, the new SV10 Perennia I promises reliable performance packaged in the beautiful and sophisticated floral engravings reminiscent of the over/unders of bygone years. The newest over/under model from Beretta, the SV10 Perennia I is a perfect blend of innovation and tradition.
