GOVERNMENT CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

DESCRIPTION:  Prepare bids and proposals and oversee awarded contracts by ensuring Company compliance with Government contract requirements under the guidance of top executives in Beretta Defense Technologies (BDT).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Supervise, coordinate and implement BDT’s contract process including managing all tasks and details of the contractual process; prepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports and other exhibits that may be required. Compare solicitation performance requirements, delivery schedule and other terms and conditions with Company capabilities to determine actual or possible compliance. Assist with contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Review subcontract bids from other firms to determine conformity to contract requirements and to help determine acceptable offers. Assist in compiling data for preparing estimates and historic information about successful bids. Coordinate work of sales department with production and logistics to implement fulfillment of contracts. Act as liaison between Company and subcontractors and between Company and Government customers. Liaison between external sales force and dealers on all sales issues. Maintain order process reviewing regularly to decrease process time. Establish office policies and procedures for in-house sales/order entry. Enter and maintain delivery orders into the E1 system. Manage and process current and new dealer application packages for the business unit. Provide quantitative feedback to field sales and management by compiling key data into information data base (leads, deadlines, special orders, and needs). Assist in training program for the field sales L.E. Representatives by compiling materials, and coordinating events. Coordinate the Special Orders for Military and LE agencies with appropriate business units. Strengthen our partnership volume by providing superior support to all our LE accounts.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years Contract Administration experience required. Certified Contract Administration degree preferred. Customer service experience with JD Edwards E1 experience desired.
