Heat Treat/Surface Finish Inspector
DESCRIPTION: Perform inspections of heat treated and surface finished components per documented processes and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform inspections of heat treated and surface finished components to certify that components meet specified requirements. Ensure quality by identifying non- conformances thus preventing defective components from advancing in the process. Accurately document inspection results and prepare monthly activities reports. Use work instructions and table to obtain proper inspection plan. Become familiar with tools and methods used in the inspection process. Interface with production line managers and lead persons to initiate rework of non-conforming product. Prepare monthly activities report.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous quality control experience a plus; on-the-job training is provided.
• Visual acuity is required for close visual inspection.
• Requires lifting and transporting of parts weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions etc.
• Must possess basic mathematic skills.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
