TERRITORY DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
(Positions available in Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Harrisburg, PA and Lexington, KY)

DESCRIPTION:  Assist with solicitation of orders for company products for business and industrial establishments at sales office, store, showroom, or customer’s place of business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist with opening new direct dealers, non-firearm dealers, and range accounts, utilizing lists provided by BUSA Corporate, and by prospecting in the assigned territory.  Work and interface with Area Sales Representative on a daily basis to properly execute business plans. Assist with execution of promotional programs and merchandising opportunities with customers. Assist with coordination of customer and industry events within assigned territory. Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone. Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasize salable features. Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained. Estimate date of delivery to customers, based on knowledge of firm’s production and delivery schedules. Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts current. Work with Inside Sales Representatives to keep account activities and literature updated. Track stock levels and coordinate customer training. Work well independently with minimum supervision. Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigate and resolve customer problems according to company policy. Follow through to ensure that problems are satisfactorily resolved. Suggest new procedures on programs to prevent customer’s problems/complaints. Attend trade shows, dealer promotions, and regional and national shoots.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-3 years related experience and/or training. Must be able to travel daily within designated territory and preferably reside within a 50 mile radius of one of the following locations: Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Harrisburg, PA or Lexington, KY.  Good personal credit required to cover expenses while traveling. Frequent travel and ability to travel by plane required. Experience in shooting sports industry and firearm knowledge/experience a plus. Knowledge of product preferred. Basic pc skills required; word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and Internet. Excellent written skills: writes clearly and informatively as well as oral communication skills: speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations. Good problem solving skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts in order to calculate discounts; apply concepts of basic algebra. Must regularly lift/carry up to 25 lbs. and regularly stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.



EXECUTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT POSITION


DESCRIPTION:  Develops and implements L.E. Strategic Sales Plan to accommodate corporate goals. Potential involvement in international and other government agency sales exists.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals. Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules and discounts. Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs. Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Works with Marketing Team on marketing initiatives within allowed budget. Closely monitors sales generated by Rep Groups and tailors sales activities and actions. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products. Delivers sales presentations to key clients. Meets with key clients, assisting sales reps with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing sales. Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements. Assists with preparation of manuals and technical publications. Prepares periodic sales reports for Executive Team showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.  Assists R&D departments with research and development. Monitors and evaluates the competitors’ product activities. Oversees Sales, Armorer Training Program and Demo activities to L.E. agencies.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•    Bachelor’s degree required (Business or Criminal Justice preferred).
•    Extensive experience in L.E. & Government Sales required.
•    International Sales experience highly preferred.
•    Ability to travel nationally and internationally required.
•    Background in special operations preferred


EVENTS/MARKETING ASSOCIATE


DESCRIPTION:  Convert customer/end-users to purchase Beretta products through trial and usage.  Develop strategies to gain market feedback that will feed users view of product development.  Build and maintain good working relationships to strengthen partnerships with Dealers.  Work closely with and support Beretta’s sales-force to increase market share.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Promote sales and create goodwill for Beretta products by interfacing with organizations and maintaining a shoots presence. Advise customer on appropriate course of action to resolve functional issues and makes determinations on where and when firearm should be sent for servicing. Assist in the Mobile Showroom/Guns America appearances at Beretta customer locations and company events. Drive company marketing vehicle to attend events to support retailers. Support staff at selected stores and at consumer events. Display merchandise in mobile unit to entice the consumer to purchase Beretta products. Build and maintain product display in compliance with Beretta’s standards.  Implement the company’s merchandising directives which may require some creativity in molding directives to also be consistent with particular Dealer’s goals and image. Manage inventory that is on mobile showroom. Track condition of Beretta products and re-order merchandise when necessary. Work with Marketing and Merchandising Manager in finding strategies to obtain direct consumer feedback. Develop and maintain customer client listing. Work closely with Beretta USA staff as it relates to new product training, reporting and marketing. Prepare reports of event transactions and keep expense accounts current. Follow through to ensure that all problems are satisfactorily resolved.  Suggest new procedures on programs to prevent customer’s problems/complaints. Travel extensively to customers’ stores to merchandise and visualize products needs. Assist in collection of consumer information for BUSA database.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • College degree preferred or combination of education and work related experience.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 90%), work overtime including weekends, and participate in shooting events.
  • Ability to drive company marketing vehicle to attend and support field events.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Word.
  • Knowledge of Beretta products and outdoor lifestyle to include clothing and accessories, preferred.
  • Knowledge of hunting, firearms, and outdoor sporting activities a plus.
  • Demonstrate flexibility on the job; ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs.
  • Ability to handle and demonstrate features of Beretta product(s).
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate well both in person and on the phone.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
