INTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE (ISR)
DESCRIPTION: Provide quality customer service for commercial accounts to increase sales and profits. Responsibilities include: coordinating communications between customer and field representative, processing direct accounts, stimulating sales, and providing quantitative support for management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Process direct accounts within territory. Receive and proof incoming orders for pricing, discounts and terms. Process documents to record required sales information. Operate computer terminal to input orders and review orders for errors or omissions. Arrange for allocation of product according to fixed shipment schedules and provide assistance if needed. Stimulate sales by highlighting marketable product qualities by calling on regular or prospective customers to solicit orders or suggesting alternative products to meet customers' satisfaction when desired product is not available. Answer customer's questions concerning product by telephone or mail. Evaluate product flow and move into the market by coordinating with sales representatives. Troubleshoot with various departments such as warehouse, shipping, accounting and production to meet daily goals and customer's needs. Provide sales information and sales history by obtaining data from several sources. Coordinate and administer the Show/Blem Program. Provide quantitative sales support for management. Provide sales information and history. Update and analyze sales and budget reports. Interface with production in the analysis and administration of purchase order reports. Administrate return merchandise authorization system with the cooperation of receiving and warehouse. Maintain and organize distributor agreements. Promote products at trade shows and conferences by attending as a representative for BUSA. Answer questions from the general public concerning products.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a customer service/sales environment required. Computer proficiency – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. JD Edwards preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of firearms preferred. Knowledge of software applications required. Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred. Excellent communication skills; oral and written. Ability to work independently and investigate and resolve customer problems. Problem solving skills required. Must be able to work in a professional office environment.
