The Sako TRG is a detailed study of the needs of a marksman. It is designed for one job and one job only: to hit the target. The result is a total accuracy concept designed 100% by Sako, a member of the Beretta family. The globally acclaimed Sako TRG is available in two models, the TRG 22 and TRG 42. The TRG 22, in .308 Win caliber will impress even the most discriminating marksman with its “straight out of the box” accuracy. Sometimes you need to reach out a lot further, and that is where the TRG 42 comes in. With all the features and versatility of the TRG 22, but chambered for the potent .300 Win Mag and the even more powerful .338 Lapua Mag, this is the rifle to reach for when ranges stretch a quarter-mile and more.

The free-floating, target grade barrels, made specially for the TRG, are cold-hammer forged. The muzzle is threaded for an optional muzzle brake or suppressor. A rigid action formed from cold-hammered special alloyed steel features 3 locking lugs and a bolt-lift angle of 60o for a fast bolt throw. Integral 17mm parallel scope mounting rails with recoil stop slots are machined into the receiver.

The two-stage trigger is adjustable for weight from 2 to 5 lbs (1 to 2.5 kg) of pull. It is also adjustable in length and horizontal or vertical pitch. The entire trigger assembly, including the trigger guard, can be removed from the rifle without disassembling any other part of the rifle. The safety catch, which is silent in operation, is located inside the trigger guard. The safety locks the trigger mechanism and locks the bolt in a closed position with the firing pin blocked.

The stock, available in matte black or olive drab (OD) green, is designed for both right- or left-handed shooters. The buttplate is adjustable for length of pull and angle through the use of spacers and is infinitely adjustable in height and pitch.
