Best pusher for rear sight

Even though this doesn't work for the front sight, this is by far the best sight pusher I've used. If you want to replace or adjust your rear sight without making marks on your slide, this is what you want. It's strong, solid, and works with no other tools. No more putting your slide in a vice or driving with a punch. .

Problem with target sight installation

I used this tool to exchange the original 92FS sight with the 92FS target sight. Removal of the original sight was easy. Initial installation of the new target sight was easy. However, removal of the assembled slide and target sight was not. I had to back off the sight to the left about 1/2 to remove the assembly and then finish the installation with a punch and light hammer. In the end it still made the install go OK.

Worth every penny!

I like another reviewer have mulled over buying this for a couple years. I have 2 Beretta 96FS that I love. I have had the novak sights sitting in my cabinet forever because every gunsmith I've talked too charges 50-80 dollars to do this job. This tool made it quick easy and I have the liberty to go back and make my own adjustments. I'm glad I finally made this purchase it really was worth every penny!

The right tool for the job!

I am a firm believer in using the right tool to for the job. The Beretta Sight Adjustable Tool makes the task of removing the stock sight and installing a Novak sight on the 96A1 as simple as possible. Sure you can use other methods. Most likely you will mar your firearm in the process. If you care about doing a professional job on your weapon purchase this tool. It makes the job simple, quick, easy and does it with professional results. One caveat. This tool is made by MGW for Beretta. It is top quality. But the enclosed instructions for use are wrong for the sight removal from the slide of a model 96A1. Follow the Berretta picture guidance underneath the product picture. The MGW instructions tell you to push the original slide out from left to right. THIS WRONG! On the 96A1 push the sight out from right to left and then pull the Novak in from left to right. It takes 10 minutes for a professionally done, no mar finish. This tool is indispensable for the job.

Worth it

I had my doubts for years about this thing, mainly because of the price. I recently purchased a Burris Fastfire for a competition 92 and decided I wanted the freedom of installation. I am impressed by the massive weight and build quality on this. I now see why it costs 130.00. Probably worth that in scrap if you change your mind.

Excellent Tool

Works super and also fits my S&W 5906 AND 59 Series Firearms. Well worth it. Cheaper than going to have a gunsmith do it. Saves time and money, and easy to use.

Moves the Sight OK but........

Tool was purchased to install a Beretta 92 / 96 Target Adjustable Rear Sight out-line style Stock No: C60428 on a 92FS. It removed the stock sight fine, it instslled the target sight fine but when it was time to remove the slide from the tool the space in the sight pusher was not wide enough to allow the sight to pass through. I had to remove about 3/8 inch of thread from the thread on the slide stud position the pusher to one side and remove the slide stud from its hole rotate the slide and get it out that way. The tool would probabally work fine for most sights but not the target sights.

Great Tool

The tool worked very well. I was a little disapointed to find after installing the new adjustable rear sight the slide would not come out of the tool because the sight was to wide. Was forced to push the sight about 1/2 way off to get the slide out. needed to use a hammer to compleate the install.

Found the trick to installing target sights

You must remove the two dot plate in order to remove the slide after installing the sights, otherwise, you won't be able to remove the slide from this tool. Unscrew the windage screws in order to remove the two dot plate. I ordered 2 target sights & both had damaged screws ;(. Haven't gone to the range to test yet but this is the first time I'm disappointed with Beretta!!!

Beretta 92 Rear Sight Tool

This thing is a heavy piece and larger than I expected. This is a good thing. Used it to drift the rear sight on my INOX 92. Fits and works perfectly. Apparently there is a version for 1911s and Glocks. I'm sure the slide lockdown and sight pusher parts are different though. Great tool and caught on sale. Well worth the price.
