Beretta Congratulates Its Champions

Gardone Valtrompia, August 2004. Great satisfaction in Beretta at the knowledge that, at the conclusion of the shooting competition in Athens, the tally of Beretta medals has been enriched with another GOLD in the Skeet Men’s discipline with the Italian champion Andrea Benelli (DT10 Trident) and another SILVER with the strong Chinese shooter Ning Wei (682 Gold E) in the Skeet Ladies category.

Previously in the Double Trap competition, the GOLD medal and a new Olympic record was conquered by the United Arab Emirates champion Sheik Ahmed AlMaktoum (682 Gold E) in the Men’s category and the BRONZE medal by the expert Chinese shooter E Gao in the Ladies discipline.

In the Trap Men’s discipline, the DT10 Trident accompanied the champions Giovanni Pellielo (ITA) and Adam Vella (AUS) in the achievement of a SILVER and BRONZE medal respectively.

The prestige of the Beretta results in Athens is even higher if one considers that in the Men’s competitions, the ones with the highest number of participants, Beretta Gold medals were won in 2 out of the 3 disciplines and a silver and a bronze in the 3rd discipline.

Present on international podiums since the dawn of shooting competitions, Beretta has collected more medals than any other brand of shotgun. In Melbourne, in 1956, Beretta won its first gold medal in clay shooting. Since then the Beretta victories, at the Olympics, at the World Championships and at the most important international competitions have been succeeded without interruption. In the Olympics from 1956 to 2004 only, the medals conquered by Beretta shotguns are 11 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze.

Reliability, handling, precision and endurance are features that belong to Beretta shotguns, they are the fruit of almost five centuries of tradition and innovative technology, handed down through 15 generations of Beretta.
