Beretta U.S.A. Compliance with New State Gun Laws

The states listed below have all passed laws restricting the sale of handguns. The following summarizes Beretta U.S.A.'s continuing compliance with these laws:

MARYLAND

August 16, 2004: The State of Maryland has recently approved use of the Omega gunlock for sale with handguns sold in the State of Maryland. The Omega lock works in Beretta handgun models as well. Dealers who have the Omega lock in inventory, as well as distributors who chose to provide the Omega lock with handguns they deliver to dealers in Maryland, may use those locks to sell Beretta handguns immediately.

Beretta U.S.A. will not be providing Omega locks with handguns sales. Distributors wishing to sell Beretta handguns in Maryland must make arrangements with Maryland Dealers to be compliant with Maryland State Law.

Omega locks may be purchased from: Omega Safety Systems, Inc. Post Office Box 1517 Idyllwild, CA 92549-1517. Phone (866) 850-9193 (909) 659-7778 Fax (909) 659-8881. E-mail mail@omegagunlocks.com. www.omegagunlock.com.

MASSACHUSETTS

Only those handguns approved by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and that are in compliance with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Regulations may be sold in Massachusetts.

CALIFORNIA

Only those handguns that have been subjected to and passed testing by an independent laboratory certified by California can be sold in the state.

All firearms sold in California must include a safety-locking device approved by the California Attorney General. The California Attorney General has approved both the Beretta cable lock and the Beretta Quick-Defense Pistol Vault for use.

NEW YORK

In New York State, Licensed Dealers that purchase firearms from Beretta for resale to customers in New York must use an FC Product Code.
