the Beretta Xtrema2 in Action with Scott Robertson!

See the video that all shotgun
enthusiasts are talking about. Scott Robertson,
17-time All American and Beretta Professional
Shooter, demonstrates the Kick-Off recoil reduction
system and the Aqua - technology of the Beretta
Xtrema2.

In 2002, Beretta introduced
the original A391 Xtrema. This gun quickly garnered
Field & Stream’s “Best Gun of the Year Award,” Guns
& Ammo’s “Editor’s Awards for Gun of the Year,” and
American Rifleman’s “Bull’s Eye Award.” In the relentless
pursuit of excellence, our engineers have once again
set the benchmark for a “do-it-all” shotgun in the form
of the new Xtrema2.
This superb auto-loading
shotgun was designed and built to reliably function
2-3/4" 1 oz. 3 1/4 dram equivalent loads through
brutal 3 1/4” magnum loads – interchangeably
if you so desire. The Xtrema2 has more recoil reduction
features than ANY other shotgun on the planet!

Let's count them:
- Gas operation
with recoil reduction that no inertia operated shotgun
can ever match. The Beretta gas system is considered
to be the best in the world. The
gas system is completely self-contained with no loose
inertia springs or o-rings to lose while field-stripping.
- Elastomer bolt damper
to lessen the impact of the bolt and minimize the
recoil signature.
- Beretta’s Optima-Bore
overbored barrel to minimize recoil and optimize
pattern efficiency.
- Beretta’s competition-proven
spring/mass recoil reducer located in the
stock grip (included in standard and KO models). This
feature minimizes the recoil felt at the shooter’s
face and shoulder, in addition to improving acquisition
of follow-up shots.
- Beretta’s Gel-Tek
recoil pad to evenly distribute recoil over
the entire surface of the pad.
- Kick-Off Reduction System
(on optionally equipped models) that utilizes the
proven automotive technology of hydraulic dampening.
All together, the Xtrema2 reduces recoil an astounding
44% more than its closest rival!

All of this technology
is integrated within a cohesive framework of sheer simplicity
of design. The disassembly procedure eliminates the
hassles of cleaning conventional autoloading shotguns
as the bolt and bolt/action sleeve assembly literally
slide out together as a single unit. The simplicity
of the self-compensating and self-cleaning gas system
is the pinnacle in recoil-busting gas assisted operation.
The Xtrema2 is designed
for maximum durability. The two-lug rotary bolt head
locks up bank-vault tight… shot after shot. The
extended, interlocking barrel tang maximizes rigidity,
strength, and is at the heart of the extreme accuracy
of rifled barrel versions of the Xtrema2.
The
trigger group has been completely re-designed to have
a crisper and shorter trigger pull. This will increase
accuracy. Creep has been virtually eliminated. Also,
a trigger group with a left-handed safety button is
available and may be purchased as an accessory item.
The stock and fore end
have been slimmed down for improved ergonomics. The
gun is extremely pointable and has a dynamic feel unmatched
by other autoloaders. The stock length has been shortened
to accommodate shooting in your favorite hunting jacket.
Additionally, an ingenious system of stock spacers allows
the shooter to adjust the length-of-pull to adapt the
gun for shooting in “coat” or “no
coat” weather conditions. All 391 series shotguns
come equipped with Beretta’s exclusive stock shim
system that allows the shooter to adjust the stock for
cast and stock drop.
Finally, the Xtrema2 shotgun features
Beretta’s proprietary AQUA technology for extreme
environmental protection and corrosion resistance.
All internal and external metallic components are
constructed of advanced corrosive resistant materials,
or are coated with AQUA technology to provide for
complete corrosion protection from muzzle-to-recoil
pad. This means that even the coastal salt-spray that
would ruin a traditional shotgun on a waterfowl outing
will not damage this gun.
