Beretta BU9 Nano 9x19mm Parabellum

I had been looking for a concealed carry weapon for a few months now. I have always loved the Beretta brand and thought that I would just do a little research. I watched the Youtube videos from the Beretta manufacturer about the Beretta Nano. I was impressed with the nubmer of rounds that were put through the gun with the gun being totally dry and un-oiled. After reading the reviews and reading about the specs, I decided to make a phone call to my local firearm gun range and dealer. They stated that they had only one Nano in stock. I drove over to the range on this past Friday (February 3, 2012) and purchased the firearm. The range gives you 1 free hour of range time with the purchase of any firearm, so I took advantage of that. Oh, my Goodness! This Nano is so awesome and very accurate right out of the box. The gun is not too heavy, yet weighs enough to handle the recoil and feel comfortable for concealed carry. I enjoyed the gun so much that I came back to the range the next day. Between the two days, I shot about 300 rounds through my new Nano without any problems, jams, hesitation or concerns.
I don't have very large hands, so the Nano fits well enough for it not to affect my aim or firing. I hit my mark every time. I immediately cleaned my Nano after returning home.
The field stripping instructions were simply and easy to follow; especially with me having already read the online manual from the Beretta website before purchasing the gun. I even removed the grip frame chassis and cleaned it too, just to test the diassembly/reassembly process, makeup and durability of the gun. So, my Nano was clean and ready to go again the next day. I will be purchasing more magazines for it. It comes with two already; but for better enjoyment at the range, you might want to purchase at least two more. The magazine holds six rounds of ammo, which is sufficient. But, with the Nano, you never want to stop shooting it. I couldn't wait to put in the next full magazine, which is even more reason for you to purchase additional magazines. I will also be purchasing the IWB holster as soon as it is back in stock. So, if you are thinking about purchasing the Nano, think no more. Go out and get it. You won't be sorry. This is in my opinion the best concealed carry weapon and it is a 9mm, which delivers more stopping power if you ever need it. Prayerfully, you won't. I choose the Beretta Nano over any .380 concealed carry weapon. Beretta, you deserve a standing ovation. So, go out and pick up your Beretta Nano today! You'll be glad you did, for sure!

I spotted one at the range gun shop this morning and the price was right (about $75 less than MSRP). I didn't have a chance to clean/lube the pistol, but I wiped it with a silicone cloth and shot it. It seemed to take about four or five mags before it was broken in. I was all over the place until about the fifth mag, and the Nano just started putting the holes where I intended. I shot 150 rds through it, including 50 JHPs, with no jams or hiccups of any kind. I have big hands, and had to keep a tight grip with my pinky under the mag. Being small and light, the recoil was a bit harder than a service sized 9mm. I was quite impressed with the gun and that continued when I got it home, stripped it (very easy), cleaned it, and reassembled it. Don't be fooled by it's small size. It is very well built. It's going to ride in my pocket for a very long time. It's rare when you purchase a product that that lives up to it's advertising claims. The Nano absolutely does.
