Reliable and quality magazine

Review:

When I got my Nano I figured the the magazine would need something as is my experience with most concealed carry firearms. However the spring and follower work flawlessly and the magazine is much heavier than I expected that it would be. I will definitely only use factory magazines no aftermarket for me.

A Solid, Reliable CCW

Review:

The BU9 Nano has been utterly reliable from the moment I loaded its first round. The trigger seems to get smoother with each visit to the range. With just over 300 rounds, it has performed flawlessly with the different brands of ammo I fed it. This pistol is built like a tank and performs much better than I expected.

Nice home defense shotgun, lightweight just feels perfect when shoulder it. If you want to put lead downrange in hurry this is the way to go. I also got a super deal when i bought mine, that was reason i made purchase, big sale 50% off. Shoots very well accurate with rifleds slugs. Hopefully there will be some goodies for it soon, ie side saddles, cool light mounts.

Light, Accurate, Minimal Recoil

Review:

Recoil is very minimal and the ghost sights are fine if this is meant to be used within confined quarters. 12 gauge 9 ball cartridges would be most effective. After researching and handling the lower priced home defense style shotguns, this weapon felt just right whereas the pistol grip styles and the lower end brands did not. This shotgun is incredibly light and easy to handle. I would not recommend the breaching muzzle even though it may look really nice, it adds 2 extra inches- and when you grab this weapon, you take a certain comfort in knowing you are not swinging around a long barrel but merely 18" and with the ghost sights chances are in a real situation the intruder would be less than 15' away and very much deceased if you have the ghost sight on them.

Nice, compact unit

Review:

Fits the PX4-SC very well. Seems to stay on target, even with somewhat rough/carry handling. Does not extend below the trigger guard, and the ambi-on/off switches are very easy to feel and activate. Still loofing for a composite holster that will fit with it installed, but otherwise a great unit.

.265

Review:

I've been away from rifles since shooting benchrest in the 90s. Accurate shooting was still an interest so I bought a T3 Tac. I mounted a Trijicon 2.5-10x56 scope and a Harris bipod and headed to the range with Fiocci match 168gr. After getting the system on paper I cleaned the bore and then fired a 5 shot group measuring .265" at 100yd including the fouler shot. Amazing for a gun right out of the box. Imagine what it would do with a 2 ounce trigger and a high power scope!

one awsome rifle

Review:

I have had this rifle in 308 for several years. I have several that cost more than this but none that will shoot with it. I had it to the range today and shot 2 three shot same hole groups at 230 yards with factory 168 grain federal gold medal match. If you have been considering one of these, you can't go wrong. I would put mine against any rifle on the planet. Just break it in right!

Great Rifle

Review:

For anyone looking for a highly accurate rifle at a decent price, this is it. Out of the box this rifle shot excellent and has only been getting better as the barrel has been breaking in. Only complaint is the magazine itself. Could be a little more robust in the follower spring but don't let that deter you if you are considering this rifle. Could be hunting one day, and competing the next with this.

Great gun

Review:

Got the Px4 Subcompact to replace my carry gun. At the range I noted the first 4 to 5 rounds were in the bullseye at 21 feet. The next 8 rounds were below the center. Shot 3 magazines. All the same. Seems the short barrel gets hot and affects accuracy. Not a big issue because all rounds were in the kill zone. Great gun for Concealed Carry. Another winner by a great company.

Dropped the Glock

Review:

I used to carry a Glock 23. I picked this one up because it can actually fit in an ankle holster. The original plan was to carry the Px4 to make concealing easier during the summer. But after shooting it, I kicked the glock to the curb and carry this at all times. Plan on looking at the PX4 Storm compact for the higher capacity. Highly recommend this gun.

Great Pistol

Review:

I test fired the full size, compact and the sub-compact and shot he best with the sub-compact .40. I wouldn't think I would for the size of my hands, but with the large back strap it fit like a glove. I have the Beretta pancake holster also and what a nice fit under my shirt. A well engineered weapon that shoots, works, cleans and does not give its shape when worn.

Review:

This is actually my first firearm. I wanted something compact yet powerful and reliable. This sub-compact is all that and more. For a 9mm in a small package it is a very controllable pistol. It's comfortable to hold in spite of it's small size. I fired over 400 rounds through it and it works flawlessly. Workmanship on this pistol is outstanding. five stars all the way.

Really happy with this one!!!

Review:

I had looked for a while for a concealed carry weapon and just hadn't found one that caught my interest and felt right in my hand too. I first saw the PX-4 at a gun show. I noticed a difference immediatly as it lay in the display case... "I'm more"! It said. More than just another square plastic and metal sub compact. When I held it in my hand, we made a connection... It seemed to be custom contoured for my hand. All of the buttons and levers were set just right, So the action of flipping off the safety or dropping the clip was smooth, not "OH! Wait... Well it just needs to break in a little". I truely enjoy this gun. .40 cal fires wonderfully smooth. I think the slightly larger slide really helps with the recoil. Accurate and I haven't experienced any jamming. I really like the pinky extension but I do have a concern that it may not drop down if I were in a high pressure situation. Due to my large grip, I tend to grab on or below it. But either way, it stills shoots accurately. Thank you Berretta.....

Beretta Px4 Storm Sub- Compact 9mm

Review:

Have shot about 500 rounds now over several months and have not had the first problem. I really like the way the sub compact feels and the recoil is even less than I had anticipated. It is very easy to break down and reassemble. Cleaning it is very easy. Very happy with the sub compact.

Px4 Storm Sub-compact 40 cal

Review:

I did not want to write a review until I had some serious time with my Px4 Storm sub 40. I have owned and carried and shot this pistol now for 6 months with approx. 700 rounds at the range and still find this an excellent Pistol.
I have only shot Winchester White-box target in 165 and 180 grain (700 rounds) and also approx. 40 rounds of Federal Personal Defense 180 grain HSHP. with very accurate results and very good control, and absolutely no failures/jams of any kind.

I exclusively use the original backstrap and always use the extended clip as it gives perfect handhold. I have fairly large palm but short finger reach and the LOP for trigger position is perfect for me. The pistol is fairly thick, and after trying several IWB holters, I found that Crossbreed to be by far the most comfortable, and can wear all day without issue. I highly recommend this model. especially in 40

Another one of Beretta's finest weapons

Review:

I love shooting... I married a woman that did not... After getting her and her sister to the range, she started looking at her own firearms. When she told me that, I tried steering her towards the Berettas. After much research she came across the PX4s. We went to Bass Pro to handle them so she could get the feel. My wife has very small hands and she found it hard to find something she was comfortable with. After picking up the PX4 SC she fell in love. The style, feel, action, etc... I too fell in love with the PX4. We found a spot online and purchased the PX4 SC. When the weapon finally came in, right out of the box it was very accurate, reliable and fun to shoot. With the 9mm version we have put several rounds down range of many types. The only issue we came across was my wife being a new shooter, she would limp wrist it and have a jam. Along with her incorrect shooting stance and her size (very petite) I do not blame the weapon. The weapon has never jammed on me nor had any other malfunction. Because most women won't listen to their husbands, I had the range instructor give her a few tips... My wife now has her own carrying case, ear defenders, and glasses and loves to shoot her PX4 SC any chance she can. She has not had any more issues with jamming after her brief instruction w/ the range coach and absolutely loves her new PX4 SC. I enjoyed shooting the PX4 SC so much I purchased the PX4 .45… Both are great guns at a great price.

Review:

Well, after carying a competitive model 9mm for quite some time, I have adjusted to the size and comfort of the PX4 Sub Conpact with IWB holster. It took a little doing but now it is comfortable regarding thie little extra size. It's nice to know that I have the protection if needed. I'm not completely sold on the holster I have but the PX4 does not inhibit sit down comfort even whe driving. I wouldn't however carry it to the symphony or opra. Summary...Don't leave home without it. If you decide to carry, take a safety training course, CCW Course, Home Defense Course and know your responsibility.

New PX4 Type F Sub Compact

Review:

Very Impressed! Just returned from the range after shooting the PX4. Put about 150 rounds of Remington and Herters through it in about an hour and it performed flawlessly. I was very impressed with the accuracy as I am not an expert but shoot much more than the average person I think as it is a hobby. Guessing about 200 rounds a month. I own three 9mm's and this is the first Baretta. It holds well on target and low recoil are a real plus. At 12 ft. 10 were in a three inch pattern. At 21 ft. all were in the 7x10 inch zone very close. I was impressed to say the least. The grip is great but shot today with the medium backstrap that prooved comfortable. In addition, I really like the decocker what a great feature as I do like a safety. This will be come my carry gun for most I will know much more about the evaluation after a few hundred more rounds. I would reccomend this pistol for home defense and carry.

Flawless transition from a 92FS to Px4 sc

Review:

I have been trainig with and cc a 92FS. What a great firearm. I was looking for something smaller of course. I thought seriously about a new 357 snubbie but after checking the balistics charts for a 2" 357 vs a 3" 9mm I found there isn't much difference. That being the case I decided to go with more rounds and less recoil.

Well, I thought about many but came to the conclusion that the PX4 was the best choice. The operating, handling, and accuracy of it is vertualy identical to the 92FS. No retraining my automatic reflexes to do something else. The first group I fired was dead on the X ring all 5 holes touching one another at 7 yards! Perfect. Thank you Beretta.

The best sub-compact 9mm I've ever fired

Review:

Having been in law enforcement for the past 26 years and counting. I have owned, and carried, a large variety of off-duty handguns. I have to say that my PX4 in 9mm tops them all. It fits my hand perfectly and shoots like a professionally tuned custom pistol that you pay thousands for. My wife even thought it was amazing and can't wait to shoot it. I am now looking to purchase a PX4 in 40 cal and 45 acp next, thats how much this weapon has impressed me. Way to go Beretta!

Review:

I was looking for a 9mm compact or subcompact for cc and also just something different as well as caliber to shoot at the range other then 40SW. Well, it didn't take long after watching video reviews on youtube and taking a trip at a local gun shop to see how the px4 felt in my hand and that's all it took....Sold. Had to wait a few days of course to get it which was no fun, but when the day came, a friend and I took it to the range right away to test it out. We purposely saved shooting the px4 last after using a 22s revolver, 2 22lr mp161k rifles, 40SW 24/7 G2, and then the px4. It shot flawlessly and my friend whose hands and fingers are a bit larger then mine even loved the way the px4 felt in his hand. For not being close to broken in, after 50 rounds (only because we were there for quite awile already) the groups were still an inch to two inches apart. Not dead on the bullseye, but still within the second and 3rd rings out at 7 yards. I'm sure that will improve with time. Great gun for anyone!

Best subcompact ever

Review:

I just recently purchased the px4 storm subcompact in 40 s&w. Let me tell ya this is by far the best sc handgun I've ever handled! I got it in 40s&w because I wanted a bigger caliber than a 9mm and smaller than 45mm the recoil is so minimal and the accuracy is incredible! It's a meatier sc so it feels like I'm actually carrying a gun and not a toy like other sc pistols.. I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for the perfect mixture of power and concealment!! The folks at beretta are definitely on their game!! So far 100 rounds through and not one malfunction!! Keep up the good work guys... I'll b buying more beretta equipment in the future for sure!! Oh yea one last thing....the px4 storm sc is made in the U.S.A!!! And I love it!!!!

I love my 1911 but found it wasn't a practical conceal carry handgun. Went to a local gun show, looked at every sub-compact there and decided on the Px4 Storm. After my first trip to the range, I couldn't be happier with this little autoloader. Easy to handle, low recoil (9mm), accurate, and operates flawlessly right out of the box. Got a little inside-the -waistband holster and it carries very comfortably. Looking forward to a long, happy relationship with this little pistol.

Best Sub-Compact

Review:

The PX4 Storm Sub-Compact is hands down the best sub-compact I have ever fired. I am a rather large man with XXL size hands and other sub-compacts are just too lean for my hand to effectively grip. This one is just beefy enough to get a great grip on. Additionally, This pistol has been 100% reliable with six different brands of ammo and is as easy to shoot very accurately. As a matter of fact, it holds it's owne shooting side by side with my larger 9mm pistols. Great accuracy and dependability, Thanks Beretta !

Nice Subcompact

Review:

I bought this pistol about 2 weeks ago and have now been to the range 3 times. I am used to the full size Px4 and I also have a 96A1, both .40 caliber. I decided to get a 9mm because I was concerned about the recoil but I should have been. It takes a little getting used to firing but after 3 times I'm very satisfied. Also, two magazines come with the gun but only one has the extension on the bottom. You can buy extensions for $12 but right now they are out. If you are looking for a gun for CCW this gun should be considered. Of course Beretta quality and the "cool" factor should make you choose the Px4.

*This pistol is simply amazing. Besides reading the descriptions and specifications, this pistol has a very suprisingly low recoil for a sub-compact in .40 S&W. Also another key factor is the accuracy of this pistol.

I've tried the other polymer subcompact firearms out there and the PX4 subcompact wins hands down. Ergos are second to none with a trigger pull that is surprisingly light in double or single action. I hope to see all of the PX4 models stay in Beretta's line-up for a very long time.

I am so impressed with my Bride's new PX4Storm Sub-Compact. I am a Life-Long 1911 man and when the PX4 came into my Bride's field of view it was all over but the cryin'. She'd loved it since the day she first laid eyes on it and I scoffed. She threw rocks at the small Rugers, Kahrs, S&Ws, etc.. but when she laid hands on the PX4, well, my dealer laid hands on my debit card. I am no longer a "Doubting Thomas". That little pistol is so well built, so well designed and engineered. I am so very impressed and the Bride, well she is just simply ecstatic and accurate as can be. Thank you all for keeping my wife a happy and obviously very smart shopper. God bless and may business always be brisk.~Benny

I recently completed my 9MM Storm collection with a PX4 Compact. I now own the SC, C, and Full-Size, as well as the Carbine CX4.

Now I will tell you that I truly never set out to own one of each. But after buying my first---the Full-Size---I just couldn't help myself. The design (shape, size, capacity, feel in the hand, etc.) is absolutely perfect. I especially appreciate the ability to load the pistol and rack a round in "safe mode"---allowing me to carry confidently with a round in the chamber and the safety on. And it certainly doesn't hurt that the magazines are interchangeable.

But the most important factor of all: they perform flawlessly! After 1000s of rounds, I have had zero malfunctions of any sort; there is very little recoil (increasing slightly as you go from CX4 to SC, as expected); and the accuracy is unparalleled.

The funny thing is, I used to anguish over which gun to carry ... Now I just anguish over which Beretta! Bravo, Beretta, Bravo!!!

Great for CCW

Review:

Upgraded to the .40 for concealed carry. After cleaning and installing the large back strap 3 of us ran 180 rounds through it with no problems. The smallest shooter was my 5'2" daughter (who is trying to claim this as her own) and had no problem with recoil.

We were all well satisfied with handling and accuracy. Hits a little low at 60 yards but after 2 ranging shoots the innocent coffee can went flying.

A keeper.

Beretta Px4 Storm F-type SC .40SW

Review:

This is my second Beretta (after the Neos) and this is another extremely well built and designed gun. It is small, beautiful, slim. Shooting it is a pleasure, the recoil is more reassuring than intimidating (I shot .454, now, there is a recoil) and my wife handles it extremely well, too. It is accurate, has not malfunctioned so far. I found competing subcompacts too uncomfortable to hold with a secure grip, would not get any other than this gun.

Another Amazing Gun by Beretta

Review:

I purchased this firearm as I wanted a concealed pistol and wanted a round that was a little bigger (40 S&W). I have the full size 40 by Beretta and have been very happy with it. I decided I'd give this one a try and as the reviews suggest, it is a fine gun. I was very surprised and pleased that the recoil was comparable to that of my full-size 40 and is an easy gun to handle.

I just bought This gun in 40S+W. I had a few issues at first that I found out that I was the problem. I'm into full size autos, and having too change my thinking on how too operate this guy. The recoil on the 40 isn't bad at all. I would recommend this sub compact too everyone.

Excellent Firearm, worthy of the name "Beretta".
The Px4 combines elegance, accuracy and power in this sturdy little sub-compact pistol. Some may find it a little heavy in comparison to some of the other competitors conceal and carry, however in a good holster the "Storm" will provide everything you need in a conceal, range and self/home defence firearm. Highly recommend.

Fantastic!

Review:

This gun feels great in hand and makes for easy target acquisition. I have the .40 cal version and do not find the recoil to be problematic at all. I've run several hundred rounds through it now and have had zero failure issues. The slide release button wasn't working initially. I contacted Beretta and they told me there is a break-in period. I have recently found the button loosening up just as they said it would. This is an amazing weapon and has been perfect for concealed carry, just as I had hoped.

Review:

Wanted a compact for carry. The Storm Sub felt good. Didn't know if I wanted it in 9mm or .40. Most of the reviews I read said that it kicked bad. Went for the .40 anyway. Was not bad at all. Went through 250+ without a single hitch. I'm sold on Beretta!

I've read the reviews and said, what is the hype all about? I was shopping for a compact handgun of quality but not a HK price. I looked at the Px4 Sub-Compact 9mm, size and weight was great. I purchased it and took it to the range. Every good thing that I've read was true even at 25 yard I had great groupings. A+++ for my first Beretta.

Awesome 40 caliber handgun

Review:

I bought the Beretta Subcompact 40 S&W. It is an awesome firearm that I use for concealed carry. It does kick like a mule but I can get used to that. I have never had any problems with it at the range and I use the 14 & 17 round magazines because they give me a better grip on the gun plus more ammo. I would recommend this gun in either the 9mm or 40 S&W for concealed carry. The 40 S&W is one brute though!!!

Beretta PX4 SC 40S&W

Review:

Bought the 40S&W back in November, and love this gun! I've put about 300 rounds through it so far without a hitch! No FTF's, & deadly accurate even at 50 feet.
Kicks like a mule though! But you get used to it after awhile. Feels great in your hand, & the different size back-straps help to make a perfect fit. Love the Snap-grip extension for the mag, wish Beretta would have put them on all their mags, or make them available to buy! You won't be disappointed with this one!

I purchased this pistol on the 18th of December,as a Christmas gift to myself. I enjoyed shooting it and me and a friend had no problem maintaining tight groups at the range. My only complaint is that the back up clip doesn't have the pinky extension and the decocker is difficult to remove safety. Other than that, I love it. Ernie C

Storm PX4 Sub Compact in 9mm

Review:

I just purchased this pistol on Saturday at a local gun show. I'm ambidextrous, but mostly left handed and I've been looking for a pistol that wasn't going to be too awkward for me. I've been researching semi-autos for about 3 months now both on the internet and at local shops. I finally came up with this. I started further researching on YOU TUBE for reviews, field stripping, cleaning, and firing and found very favorable reviews. I just completed the NRA's "First Step" training class to learn to handle this baby properly. The slide DID NOT lock back after the very first time with one shot in it, but did not fail after that. I shot 200 rounds that day without any problems. My first two shots were a little low, but after that I kept EVERYTHING in the 9 and 10 ring for the rest of the day. I've only shot a .25 prior so even an extreme amateur like me can do well with this gun. I now have a gun for life.

I've had my PX4 SC several months and like it more every time I take it to the range. Handles very naturally and shoots extremely well. Only thing I would change is flip the decocker to down is "fire". I had a bit of trouble finding an in the waistband holster for it that I liked. Finally ordered one from High Noon Holsters that was made for it. Fits like a glove and is very concealable. Have gotten to like my SC even better than my full sized PX4.

PERFECTO!

Review:

I'll confess that I've been an ol' stick in the mud when it comes to handguns, and I have always had a strong preference for wheel guns. The Px4 Storm Type F Sub-compact in 9mm is my first pistol. I bought it for concealed carry, and I chose it primarily for its size and safety features. I would have probably preferred the .40-cal, but I got the 9mm because I thought it might be slightly less intimidating if my wife and daughters decided to give it a try. Regardless, I am impressed! This is truly a fantastic little pistol that performs flawlessly and is arguably the perfect concealed carry firearm. It's surprisingly accurate for a short-barreled pistol, and the recoil is minimal. I'm getting kind of long in the tooth, but I'm impressed with the groups I shoot all the way out to 25 yards (the limit of my indoor range). Fit is very important to me, too. I'm a big guy (6-8, 350ish) and have big hands, but with the extra large backstrap, this pistol fits quite nicely. (I can't get my pinky around it, but I can live with that.) This is quite possibly the best investment I've ever made in a firearm, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend. In fact, I already have--several times. Buy this sweet little pistol, and you won't be sorry!

Purchased in 9mm for home defense, I can not be more pleased with my purchase of the CX4. I added a folding fore stock grip, a Sig Sauer rail mount laser, and a tactical light. Add another charging handle and the barrel shroud. The Bushnell Trophy optic completes the package. The thirty round magazines are more than adequate. Almost no recoil, Wonderful accuracy to 100 m, and almost no recoil. Easy to accessorize, and very ergonomic. Need I say more?

My favorite gun!

Review:

I have a CX4 in .40 s&w I've added a Burris red dot 4 MOA sight and an Inforce WML weapon light. This thing is an absolute tack driver to 50 yards in this configuration even in a full free standing position.

I also own a PX4 in .40 and have converted my CX4 to accept PX4 magazines. You only need to convert if you have a 92 series CX4 and the conversion is simple requiring only a new magazine sleeve and mag release. The entire conversion took me about 5 minutes and has provided me with what I feel is an awesome tactical weapons system capable of sharing rounds and magazines. Field stripping is tool free and couldn't be easier. Super impressive weapon and together with the PX4 a super impressive weapons system. My favorite gun indeed!

Excellent Carbine

Review:

I really like this little beast. I got the 9MM version to be compatible with the ammo I use in my handguns. After shooting it the first time, my shoulder was a little sore. The butt pad was not that soft. After adding a cheap recoil pad, however, the problem was solved.

I added a Bushnell Red-Dot sight and it gives me a 3" grouping at 15 yards!

The only issue I have with it is with the 30 round magazine I bought for it. After loading the magazine into the Storm, it just fell out of the gun! It seems that there where (are) two different magazine types that are used in the Storm and I got the wrong one. There is suppoaed to be an "adapter", but I haven't found that, yet.

Other than the magazine snafu, I really enjoy this carbine and so does my wife!

Excellent Alternative

Review:

With the latest crazy rush to purchase AR-15's the prices of those weapons have went up over 200%. I purchased a 9mm CX4 Storm on 12/28/12 at regular retail price. Carbines offer an excellent alternative to the AR-15. The Storm is an exceptional piece of equipment,

Out of the box the rifle was dead on at 25yds. Recoil was al out nonexistent. The best part was practically zero muzzle lift making follow up sight acquisition easy and fast. The iron sights are excellent and easy adjustable with the included tool. The rear sight has short range aperture, that flips forward to raise a second smaller long range aperture. That then flips forward and lays flat when using a rail mounted optic.

The number of accessories for the Storm are substantial, and everything you need is offered by Beratta. My only suggestion is to add a touch of blue (not red!) thread lock on the side rail mounting screws as I lost one on my initial range visit.

I highly recommend this weapon for anyone men, women of any frame size. The butt stock is adjustable with the addition or subtraction of spacers (1 included) from Beretta. Additionally the hard sided case the weapon comes in is very nice and easily a $75 value if purchased sedately.

I can sum it up with one word. BUY!

more kick than expected

Review:

As fast as quality goes, this carbine is is tough to beat. In the past, I have mostly fired pistols and .22LR carbines and i was not expecting the kick that my .40 S&W delivers. I have put 250 rounds through my Storm and i have only had 2 fte's. I mostly blame this on the 165 grain Winchester white box ammo i used. I would suggest American Federal 180 grain. It seems to fire better than the Winchester white box. The only drawback is the 14 round mag that is a pain to snap in quickly because it is recessed in the handle. Just get the 17 round mag.

Overall I love this gun. I have put a front pistol grip on it and the Unimax Lasermax laser. Took me a while to get the laser where i wanted it, but now it's very accurate! This is my "go check the back yard because i heard something" gun! I also got the PX4 storm in the same caliber.

i bought this gun because of the co2 rifle it was right on but the c4 storm co2 rifle has been back to them 2 times working now on 3 it seems some reason the air will leak out of the co2 around the seal even with some oil on , also leaks air out of the top slide the rings and not over tighten but the c4 9m is just un reaL ITS LIGHT you can sweep and clear and not bang in to coners just a really great gun also all the goodys you can add. i just wish you could get some more yards at of it but i have not yet had a chance to stay and see what it can do after 150 but if you looking for a light gun and 3 kinds of amo 9m 40 45 with kit its a great rifle

Blown Away

Review:

I was convinced to purchase this weapon by a well known shop due to it's ability to deliver rounds down range in a most accurate fashion. I purchased the gun, added a holographic scope and went to the range. After two shots at 25 yards, I adjusted the scope and hit 5 shots inside the red on a small splater target. Moved down range to the 50 yard post. I unloaded ten rounds on the target with all shots in the 8" target. I re-loaded the magazine and proceeded to rapid fire at the 8" target at 50 yards where the target was destoyed prior to me emptying the clip. No modifications, right out of the box...by far the most accurate weapon I have ever shot.

Review:

I absolutely love this rifle. I ordered the accessories before I even got the gun! The version I bought takes 9mm, and the iron sight is unlike anything I have ever seen. I added a vortex strikefire dot sight to this rifle adding to is already incredible look. You will need to buy the additional lower and side rails but it is worth it. Throw a fore grip on it and get a 30 round magazine. I fired through a hold mag as fast as possible and found all rounds in a 6 inch group(I was going crazy but I thought it was awesome that the group was so tight)! I highly recommend this rifle!! Easy to clean and sexy to hold :)

CX4 9mm

Review:

Picked on of these up the other day. The storm is accurate. The model I have takes the 92fs mags with no conversion insert needed. With the 20rd and 30rd mags this carbine becomes a real player. It is easy and fun to shoot. My wife even enjoys it. The fact that this comes in a 9mm ultimately sold me on this carbine. It keeps the price of trips to the range under control. With all the rail options for the CX4 it allows you to customize your gun to max. I would suggest this gun as a great option for home defense and shooting up 100 yds.

Cx4 Storm 9mm

Review:

Cx4 storm is a blast to shoot.Great carbine! The trigger is(was) its only drawback, except for its price, pricey. Trigger never felt solid. I replaced the trigger, hammer and spring with Sierra-Pappa's fix. BIG improvement, now it feels perfect.I also replaced the buffer spring and pad with Sierra-Papps for good measure. Why Beretta chose to use plastic parts on trigger and hammer is beyond me. Cost was probably the reason. To bad, this is its ONLY flaw.
I LOVE the Cx4 Storm 9mm, It performs Very well indeed!

Followup Review

Review:

I wrote a review on this carbine almost a year ago and I gave it five stars then, and I give it 5 plus stars now. Someone had reviewed this gun and said their optic sites prevented them dual use of their iron sites. I have both and use both, so I don't why this user couldn't. I was at the range yesterday and saw the range officer was staring at me. I thought I had done something wrong. He was staring at the carbine. He was so enthralled with it, I let him fire a magazine through it. At fifty yards he put half dollar groupings next to my quarter groupings. (With optics) The reliability, accuracy, and enjoyment makes the cost worth it. I would purchase another without hesitation.

One last item of note, cleaning this bad boy is a breeze! Sleek, compact, and deadly...enjoy!

My Favorate gun

Review:

I bought my cx4 storm 9mm 5/22/2004 and shot it about 200 rounds when the rifles trigger housing blew up. Sent it to Beretta USA 9/9/2004 to get it repaired. Recieved the rifle back 9/17/2004 with the repair to the trigger group housing which was under warranty. Never had a problem since and I have put a lot rounds trough it since. Can't tell you enough how satisfided I am with the rifle and the personal at Beretta repair. only one hang up with me the trigger pull is not so great. Thanks Beretta for the pleasure you have given me.

Cx4 Storm .45 ACP

Review:

-Pros-
*Light Weight
*Very Sturdy
*Break down with ease
*Many upgrade components
*Fold down sights
*Ambidextrous(Left or Right)

-Cons-
*Only 8+1 ammo config
*Carry Case is to small when adding upgraded parts

-Other Comments-
*My only other comment I would like to leave is that when you purchase a optics sight it takes the iron sights away due to the iron sights not being elevated enough for use if your optics were to malfunction.

-My Setup-
*Cx4 Strom .45 ACP
*Cx4 Storm Barrel Shroud
*Cx4 Short Grip
*L-3 EOTech (Model 512)
*Surefire Raid (Model M720V)

Needs a bigger magazine

Review:

I took my new CX4 .45 cal carbine to the range for a demo after a law enforcement pistol match. I was allowing the officers to acquaint themselves with the CX4. To a man they loved the carbine, but lamented that it was not unseable for LE with only a eight round magazine ... it needs at least a 20 rounder to be practical for LE.

Most Enjoyment

Review:

I have a Beretta 96A .40 caliber, and since my 96A mags fit the .40 caliber CX4; i purchased the .40 CX4. I took it to Ben Avery range for the first time today, and shot 200 rounds without any problems; just plain enjoyment. I am not a marksman by any standard, but in all honesty I placed ten consecutive rounds center at 25 yards, all within the size of a quarter. Cleaning this rifle is so easy. The take down is way simple, and re-assembly is a snap. There is virtually no recoil with the CX4. My wife will enjoy this carbine as well.

Good Carbine...bad trigger

Review:

Compact; lightweight; very mild recoil. Good accuracy to 100 yds with the long range apperture on the iron sights. Simple blowback operating system with no rotating parts is totally reliable, and runs much more cleanly than a direct gas impingement type AR. Very quick and easy field stripping for maintenance. Maintenance requirements are minimal. The single spring clip securing the op rod, extractor and ejector to the slab sided 27 1/2 ounce chunk of machined steel called the bolt makes it less than a two minute job with no tools required if you should want to reverse ejection from right to left side; and will make replacing those parts ultra-easy as needed. But...

This carbine has the worst trigger I have ever used. Mushy and shockingly heavy for a single-action trigger; and inconsistent, with trigger pull weight ranging from about 10-15 lbs. Very surprising and disappointing from Beretta. I am hoping that Beretta or the aftermarket will correct this serious shortcoming.

Comes with two 17-rd magazines, though 20-rd mags are available and should be standard. Also comes with a simple, but special tool to adjust the front sight for windage and elevation.

Polymer picatinny rails.

I rate it good overall, but this innovative and otherwise excellent design suffers from a bad trigger.

CX4 9mm

Review:

Bought this carbine from a friend down on his luck. Really didn't want to start stocking another caliber round, but helping a friend out kinda overrode my ammo problem. Also I really liked the way it felt in my hands. Well over 2000 rds later, my son and I take it to the range every chance we get just to fire it. Very accurate out to 100 yrds. I put a 4x39 scope on it just to watch the red circle paper split every time I point it down range. The only thing I see is that the trigger group is made of plastic, so investing in replacement parts now seems like a good idea. No problems with loading, firing or extracting rounds. Great for home defense. Lite weight, fast to grab and maintain in close combat.

Review:

I have shot over 1000 rounds through my CX4 Storm without a problem, Out of the box it was extremely accurate I added the red dot to acquire a target quicker and it is awesome... I have even gone as far as to lob rounds down the rifle range at 100yds with a little Kentucky windage even at that range very accurate... My CX4 is my favorite all around weapon... If all of that was enough it is very easy to field strip and clean....

CX4 9mm 92fs mag.

Review:

I bought this carbine two years ago for home defense. Who knew it would be so much fun to shoot. This carbine is very accurate out to 75-100 meters. I use a Burris Fastfire II red dot sight that makes the CX4 a tack driver. Very low recoil. A real pleasure to shoot.

I can interchange magazines with my Beretta M9A1, a real plus.

The stock trigger is "mushy." There is an after market trigger that gives the trigger a nice crisp pull.

I love this carbine. With an Insight X2 compact laser and light mounted it is my go to gun when things go bump in the night.

Excellent pistol-caliber carbine (Done)

Review:

I bought 9mm Cx4 number CX004XX when the firearm first came out several years ago. I really like the Cx4 Storm carbine.

I have a TLR-1 streamlight mounted on the pull-out rail under the barrel, and a Burris XTS-135 speed dot optic sight mounted on the top rail in such a way that I can flip up the iron sights and see through the optic tube with the power off. In addition, I install an extra bolt handle so that the carbine can be charged with either hand for ambidextrous operation.

The carbine loads and operates much like a semi-auto handgun, which makes training more streamlined. The magazine well in the handgrip greatly facilitates reloading in the dark.

I greatly enjoy shooting the carbine at outdoor and indoor ranges. It aims naturally, and is very accurate at 25 and 50 meter ranges. I have fired it with very good results at 100 meters too. The controls are simple to operate, the carbine is ruggedly built, simple to maintain, and easy to field-strip and clean. The Cx4 shoots relatively inexpensive 9x19mm pistol ammunition, and it almost always comes along while I'm practicing with my handguns. It balances well, and it can be fired off-hand very easily, even by novice shooters new to marksmanship. With factory magazines, it has proven to be utterly reliable too.

Great CCW

Review:

I purchased my Nano back in February. Easy to use and maintain. Like others I had a few FTEs with white box 115 grain range ammo. No problems with 124 grain and up. The shot groups from 3 to 15 yards were very impressive. Purchased an extra 8 round magazine. Replaces my PX4 Storm 9mm as my primary CCW.

A GREAT CARRY GUN

Review:

This firearm benefits from the usual dry fire polishing that you do with a new expensive DA revolver. But, you need some snap caps to do it.
Beyond that, it is great to shoot and carry.
66 years of shooting, and 20+ years of carrying have provided some lessons learned, and this has ended up as my "go to" carry gun.
There were a few FTE's on the first real trial. These were with white box ammo that also failed to eject in a Ruger LC9 and a High Power clone that friends had brought to the range that day.
Since then, defensive ammo and handloads using a 115 gr lead bullet have all functioned perfectly.

Review:

Got the Nano as a CCW for my wife to carry in a dedicated CC purse. It fits perfectly and doesn't snag in any way during a draw. Fits her hand perfectly and found it to be very accurate in the 5 to 7 yard range. Had 2 FTE's during the first 100 rounds w/115gr Winchesters so got some Fiocchi 124gr and put the next 400 rounds thru without incident. I think we've found the perfect CCW and am 100% satisfied with our little Nano!

One sweet piece

Review:

Exactly what I wanted in a concealed carry piece. Has no "print" in cargo shorts or cargo pants. This baby eats 147 grain ammo and handles 115 grain just as well. One wonders if simply a firm grip, just like any other piece, is the key to any semi-auto feeding properly. Field stripping could not be easier. The Nano lives up to the great Beretta tradition of quality fit and finish.

Review:

I waited to get one of these and so happy I did. Cannot beat this for conceal carry, safety and ease of handling. The grip is just the right size and a pleasure to fire. Not having a manual safety is a plus. The smooth trigger pull length combined with the trigger safety yields a high degree of safety. Not having to worry about a manual safety switch is one less complication to worry about should you need your Nano in a hurry. Accuracy is outstanding. My Nano functions flawlessly with any type ammo. Have not had a single FTE. The Nano is a keeper for me. So easy to use and carry.

After a 3 month debate on a single stack 9mm for CCW, I chose to purchase a BU9 last week (I was lucky to find one at a dealer 30 miles away). After only 100 rounds of American Eagle 124gr thru it, I can say I purchased the right one. Trigger takes a little getting used to at first, but what a great firearm. I am now the proud owner of 3 Berettas (92FS, PX4 compact and now the Nano). Keep em comming Beretta.

Great little gun for concealed carry

Review:

I bought this gun to carry. It is pretty small and hides easy. I sold a Sig P250 subcompact so I could buy this and I am so glad I did. I lovr Berettas and when they came out with this new gun I knew I had to have it. It is not loaded with levers and things you have to deal with just point and pull the trigger which has a light crisp pull to it. It holds 6+1 rounds which is enough for almost anything. The thing I really like and why I bought it was there is room for your finger to find the trigger easy with no trying to put my big finger in such a small hole and that makes it hard to aquire the ready to fire position.
Great gun, fun to shoot and takes anything you put in it maybe I will put nails in it to shoot because I am sure it would fire them too.

Review:

I bought the gun new from Bass Pro in Feb. I have fired 3/8 round clips through the gun and have had I FTE. I was using Win 115g. I hope that it was an ammo problem and not the gun. I will update here on the FTE issue after shooting it some more. I like the feel of the gun but the long trigger pull will take some time to acclimate to and I think it was effecting my accuracy. As far as CC, I have ordered a custom IWB holster from John Jackson that the gun will fit in with the laswermax sight installed. I will also update how it carries after I worn it all day long for a month or so.

Overall I'm giving the gun a 3 because of the one FTE I experienced. I out of only 24 bullets fired is cause for me to be concerned. I hope I don't regret purchasing the Nano as a self defensive gun. It has to be reliable for me to be 5-star satisfied.

I have over 700 rounds through the Nano with NO problems. No problem with low quality ammunition, no problem with premium ammunition. No problem with any ammunition... This little gun is really superior as to performance and built like a tank.. I never had a failure to feed, extract, eject Accuracy at 25 yards is up to my full size guns. Nano is a true pocket 9mm. Field stripping the BU9 is very easy and standard for this style of handgun. Small, light, snag free—ideal features for a CCW pistol. Despite the size, the Nano shoots very comfortably.

Review:

I recently puchased a nano after reading extensively about it, and 2 trips to the range and 275 rounds later I couldn't be more pleased. Swapping the mag release over for a left hander is very simple, the lack of an external slide stop or safety are pluses to me, it makes the gun truly ambi and is one less thing to think about in a bad situation. I put 6 different types of ammo in 3 weights thru it and it cycled flawlessly

Finally made it to the range with my Nano and the Trijicon sights. Fired 25rds of Hornady Critical Defense 115gr, Federal Hydra-Shok 124gr, and 100 rds of Winchester white box 115gr FMJ. ZERO malfunctions, everything went great except for me. Didn't shoot as well with it as with my S&W 6906, but that isn't a pocket pistol. I am using it with the DeSanti's Nemesis and have an excellent fit in front pocket of slacks or rear pocket of jeans. I was lucky enough to get two of the eight round mags the day after I went to the range and look forward to shooting again with the extra length on the grip. Even if I don't shoot better, the Nano is still and excellent pocket pistol.

I have found the Nano to be an excellent concealed carry pistol. I initially was less than happy with the pistol because I had a series of failure to extracts spent rounds from the weapon using 115 gr. Lawman FMJ ammunition. After reading reports of similar issues, I switched to 124 gr. and 147 gr. ammunition FMJ and JHP. The Nano has performed flawlessly with the heavier bullets. I love the snagless design of the pistol and the superior design of the weapon.

Just got done putting a few clips though and I for one am very impressed.
Person I bought it from did not care for the double-action, but I have to say, it does not bother me.
It is as accurate as you would expect from a 3in barrel. :)
Slide lock is the only thing missing, but can understand why it is not there, and in the end is not a deal breaker, at all.
Super easy disassembly for cleaning as well.

Review:

The Nano is trouble-free when I tested it in the first 2 boxes of ammo. No FTF or FTE.

Trigger is crisp and breaks cleanly.

Physical petiteness is really nicely packaged and highly concealable.

For a little pistol with such a short bbl, the accuracy is actually quite impressive. I find the Nano more accurate than my S&W M&P9 FS with the Gen1 bbl.

Because the Nano is trouble-free and shoots accurately, I have much confidence in carrying the Nano.

Well done, Beretta Team!

My experience with the Beretta Nano brought to mind words like Masterful Performance, Fantastic Fit & Finish, Seemingly Custom Ergonomics & Sleek Ascetics. In short, I believe the Beretta Nano is The Ferrari of Micro Compact/Pocket 9mm's without the price tag. This gun is smoking accurate, feels great in the hand, is built like a tank and conceals like a dream. I highly recommend you find a way to test drive one. Or, just buy it. At under $500 ( I paid $355 out the door, $460 with night sights.) the Nano is a steal and you won't be disappointed.

I have to say I was worried when I first got this gun. First thing I did was take it home and did a full cleaning of it and took it to the range. I bought a box of 115g WWB and had 5 FTEs while going through the box. So I figured it was just breaking it in. I went home did a good cleaning on it again, and looked online about how 124g seemed to be its sweet spot for ammo. So far I have put 400 rounds of 124g ammo though this little beauty with no issues. Not sure why the 115g was causing FTEs but, if it likes 124g it gets 124g. I have put American Eagle, Remington UMC, even a few Win 9mm NATO, and Monarch hollow points through the Nano with no issues. And for those who are curious if I tried 115g again I did with some Federal and had same FTE issues. But if the gun works flawlessly with 124g then I see no issues. I have even added a Talon Grip for bit more control. This is a accurate little gun and great for conceal.

Great little gun

Review:

I purchased this gun on 8-13-12. I have put 500 rds through it in that time. It has functioned flawlessly except for 1 ftf in the 1st 100 rds. It feels very comfortable in the hand and is effortless to carry IWB. This is my first experience with the sub compact type weapon. I've had .38 .45 & .357's in the past (1970's I'm just getting back to handgunning) before the advent of the newer more comfortable holsters and I must say this is very easy to conceal and carry compared to my old 1911 Gold Cup/shoulder holster. The only problem I had was yesterday after I had fired about an initial 20 rds I brought up the gun for the next shot and my front sight was gone. Evidently the recoil had worked loose the front set screw and the sight just flew off. I called Beretta and they are shipping me a new front sight no charge. I appreciate that service but am curious if this is a problem with other nanos. I actually have Trijicon night sights ordered so i probably won't even put the factory sight back on. Just keep it in case I sell the gun down the road. All in all I love this little pistol.

5 Star. But......

Review:

My new Nano had significant problems with failures to extract with a couple different brands early on. But after about 130 rounds the gun functioned flawlessly throughout the remaining 270 rounds I've put through it so far. Included in these 270 were 64 straight of one of the brands that initially failed to eject often. I'm counting on that the gun needed just a bit of breaking-in. It never had problems with my favorite self-defense rounds and printed nice tight groups with them at 7 yards. I just love this little pistol and want to award it 5 stars in spite of the initial extraction problems.

The Ultimate Concealable 9MM

Review:

After much research and comparisons, the Nano was my choice for a 9mm concealed carry. For me, all the other ultra-compact 9mm's (S&W [Shield], Sig, Taurus, Ruger, etc...) just didn't make the grade in ergonomics when compared to the Nano. The Nano doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the others have and that's the exactly why I bought it. The Nano is truly concealable and unlike the others, it is simple to operate, won't snag on slide releases, safeties, takedown levers and sights. It's an ultra-concealable pistol; not a miniaturized combat pistol like the others. At 7 yards the Nano will group as good if not better than my Glock 17, go figure that out. The sights are snag proof and give a great picture. The pistol is easy to maintain, will feed every type of ammo I can buy and has never jammed. The fit and finish is superb. Overall, it’s a great ultra-concealable 9mm that is fun to shoot, easy to conceal and in the future it will be configurable due to its modular design features.
I can't wait until Beretta comes out with various grip configurations, sizes, and colors. If you want a reliable 9mm you can actually conceal and depend on, the Nano is the one you want to buy.

"The Pocket Pistol"

Review:

I have tried to carry 38 snubbies, "Baby" Glocks, Kel-Tecs, Karhs, Mini-1911's, the smaller cliber Berettas and Taurus's, But nothing has suited me more than this pistol. Everything listed above had some sort of hang up that just didn't fit my carry style, but this one feels like part of me and like it belongs where I want it to go. Doesn't feel like a damn toy and the more I shoot it the more I like it, not like some of these pocket pistols that are made to carry alot and shot a little, it is a firearm not a disposable emergency device that may or may not work when you need it,it is solid like a pistol should be. Thanks Beretta, I stake my safety and that of my family on your design, My NANO 9.

Had this gun about 3 months and love it. When I first saw it in store I had to have it. Went in looking for different gun but the quilty feel of the nano sold me right away. Had a Kahr PM as a carry gun but now I carry the Nano. Nano just shoots better. the weight in the front people talk about really helps with follow up shots.

First time out with the Nano

Review:

Great weapon - carries well and conceals well. Trigger pull took about 5 rounds get accustomed to but after that 3 yards - 6 shots all bulls eye . . . 5 yards - 6 shots all bulls eyes . . . 7 yards 5 shots all bulls eyes 1 was 2" off (but still a kill shot. The recoil isn't that much different than my 92FS but is directed differently due to the design of the frame. I could shoot this all day long. Only ran about 100 rounds through it today - but I would DEFINITELY recommend it. It's going to take some time to get used to releasing the slide on each lockback. I'm not a huge fan of that - I prefer using one hand but that's what it is. I love the weapon.

Awesome Gun!

Review:

I love the Beretta Nano. The best feature a like about the Nano is the serialized frame rail so the grip modular can be changed out. That way if your grip is damaged or marred you can replace it without sending it back to the factory. I also like the ergonomics of the grip, it feels great in my hand. Excellent gun! I plan on purchasing another one in the near future. I'm hoping to see night sights and extended magazines soon.

A well built weapon able to take the punishment. I have fired 6-7 different kinds of ammo for a total of 800-900 rounds w/o a single issue.Combined with my Ramora IWB it's as comfortable as it gets.
I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I love it too.

Review:

I just finished putting 700 rds through my new nano and couldn't be happier so far. It's taken everything from cheap Walmart ammo to the good stuff without a single malfunction.

I usually shoot Glock and Smith M&P's so i'm used to the shorter lighter trigger pulls of those pistols. I was initially a little skeptical of the Nano's trigger because of the longer, heavier pull with a longer reset. It took some getting used to but it's only become smoother and more crisp as I've put rounds through it. Overall, I'm very happy with the trigger. I've fired both the Sig 290 and the Ruger LC9 and I like the Nano trigger much better.

I was impressed at how little felt recoil this pistol has. I was expecting it to be a real fireball because of it's size but it shoots really soft for a micro-compact. I can get back on target quickly, get nice double tap groups and rapid fire groups.

Accuracy has been superb once I mastered the trigger. Reliability has been great. Ergonomics are nice, but I could do with a larger back-strap for my big mitts (hint beretta). My only real complaint so far is the lack of accessories for it. I know it's new and goodies are forthcoming, but I need some night sights PRONTO, before I start to carry it. However, I am really excited about the modular design and am looking forward to see what the aftermarket comes up with for the Nano.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my Nano and it will be my daily carry pistol once I get some more time with it and some NIGHT SIGHTS. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is for the initial lack of any accesory availibility.

Review:

So I put my new Nano through it's paces yesterday and I have to say it was absolutely flawless -- zero malfunctions of any kind. I put a Hogue Handall JR. grip sleeve on it, which is a perfect fit by the way -- I highly recommend it.

Generally...

- Very comfortable to shoot for such a small gun.
- Magazines are easy to load.
- The mag release is a little stiff, but I'd rather that then too easy.
- Gun is solid and tight. They say it's overbuilt for the .40 and it feels it.
- Trigger is smooth, plus lighter and shorter than I expected.
- It pointed naturally and the sights worked well.
- Simple to take down and clean.

Ammo I used:

- Fiocchi 147gr FMJ -- 50 rounds
- Fiocchi 124gr FMJ -- 50 rounds
- Fiocchi 124gr JHP -- 25 rounds
- Sellier & Bellot 124gr FMJ -- 200 rounds
- Federal White Box 147gr JHP -- 25 rounds
- Winchester Ranger T-Series 147gr JHP -- 25 rounds
- Remington UMC 115gr JHP -- 15 rounds

As usual with a new pistol, I tended to shoot a little low at first but as I got more comfortable and overcame "the flinch" I was hitting on target (8" round targets) out at 15 yards. I'm not great with a pistol, especially double action with a 3" barrel.

Anyway, I love the gun and it's a keeper. Now it's holster time. I just ordered a IWB from Beretta http://www.berettausa.com/products/b...olster-iwb-rh/ I hope it's as good as it looks.

The wait is over; I finally got mine last week and after over 100 rounds at the range, now I know why I had to wait 3 months to get mine. If you are in the market for a 9mm that is light weight, easy to conceal, fit anywhere, smooth, fun to “SHOOST” and you happen to walk in and find one at your local Beretta dealer, just buy it!! My Nano is all that and then some.

Good Choice

Review:

I chose the Nano over the Ruger LC9 and Diamondback and I think it was a good choice. I fired it for the first time yesterday with 124 gr, 115 gr and some defensive 93 gr ammo. The 93 gr is easiest to handle by far. Heavier bullets sting the trigger finger a bit and you've got to hold on when shooting as expected. I have a little trouble with getting a magazine to lock in and it dropped out (kind of embarassing) but that's why we practice. It's a sweet shooter. The only problem you'll have is finding one, mine is getting a holster, they're out of stock on those too.

Detailed Stripping the Nano

Review:

I completely stripped the Nano down to the piece-part level (slide and frame), beyond the sub-assemblies, and what I discovered was the design and fabrication of this pistol is beyond phenomenal. It is tightly toleranced which contributes to its reliability and accuracy. And it went back together with ease. In my opinion, the best pistol on the market. Great job Beretta!

Phenomenal!

Review:

As a long-time Beretta fan, (I own a 92FS, PX4 Storm 9mm, CX4 Storm .45, & now the proud owner of the Nano), I had been resigned to using my PX4 for CCW. Then, Beretta released the Nano & my curiosity was peaked! At first, I was a bit skeptical due to the length of the grip; however, after reading the reviews here and other websites as well as viewing a couple videos, where everyone raved about the new "pocket" gun produced by Beretta, I was ready to take a chance. My skepticism appeased after my first trip to the range! At first, I had a respectable grouping at 7, 10 & even 15 yds with either hand, but after modifying my grip & stance to a more tactical one & curling my pinky up under, I immediately tightened my grouping at every distance with either hand. The accuracy is awesome for this "pocket" gun. As always with Beretta's weapon engineering, I was able to send several 100 rounds through it without any failures...WAY TO GO BERETTA! You did not let me down! Even the maintenance, cleaning, was a breeze! Disassembly, cleaning and reassembly were simple and easily accomplished. I recommend the Nano to anyone searching that perfect weapon for CCW...look no further...Beretta's Nano is here!

Best Conceal Carry in 9mm, hands down!

Review:

I had been looking for a concealed carry weapon for a few months now. I have always loved the Beretta brand and thought that I would just do a little research. I watched the Youtube videos from the Beretta manufacturer about the Beretta Nano. I was impressed with the nubmer of rounds that were put through the gun with the gun being totally dry and un-oiled. After reading the reviews and reading about the specs, I decided to make a phone call to my local firearm gun range and dealer. They stated that they had only one Nano in stock. I drove over to the range on this past Friday (February 3, 2012) and purchased the firearm. The range gives you 1 free hour of range time with the purchase of any firearm, so I took advantage of that. Oh, my Goodness! This Nano is so awesome and very accurate right out of the box. The gun is not too heavy, yet weighs enough to handle the recoil and feel comfortable for concealed carry. I enjoyed the gun so much that I came back to the range the next day. Between the two days, I shot about 300 rounds through my new Nano without any problems, jams, hesitation or concerns.
I don't have very large hands, so the Nano fits well enough for it not to affect my aim or firing. I hit my mark every time. I immediately cleaned my Nano after returning home.
The field stripping instructions were simply and easy to follow; especially with me having already read the online manual from the Beretta website before purchasing the gun. I even removed the grip frame chassis and cleaned it too, just to test the diassembly/reassembly process, makeup and durability of the gun. So, my Nano was clean and ready to go again the next day. I will be purchasing more magazines for it. It comes with two already; but for better enjoyment at the range, you might want to purchase at least two more. The magazine holds six rounds of ammo, which is sufficient. But, with the Nano, you never want to stop shooting it. I couldn't wait to put in the next full magazine, which is even more reason for you to purchase additional magazines. I will also be purchasing the IWB holster as soon as it is back in stock. So, if you are thinking about purchasing the Nano, think no more. Go out and get it. You won't be sorry. This is in my opinion the best concealed carry weapon and it is a 9mm, which delivers more stopping power if you ever need it. Prayerfully, you won't. I choose the Beretta Nano over any .380 concealed carry weapon. Beretta, you deserve a standing ovation. So, go out and pick up your Beretta Nano today! You'll be glad you did, for sure!

Great Buy On a Great Pistol

Review:

I spotted one at the range gun shop this morning and the price was right (about $75 less than MSRP). I didn't have a chance to clean/lube the pistol, but I wiped it with a silicone cloth and shot it. It seemed to take about four or five mags before it was broken in. I was all over the place until about the fifth mag, and the Nano just started putting the holes where I intended. I shot 150 rds through it, including 50 JHPs, with no jams or hiccups of any kind. I have big hands, and had to keep a tight grip with my pinky under the mag. Being small and light, the recoil was a bit harder than a service sized 9mm. I was quite impressed with the gun and that continued when I got it home, stripped it (very easy), cleaned it, and reassembled it. Don't be fooled by it's small size. It is very well built. It's going to ride in my pocket for a very long time. It's rare when you purchase a product that that lives up to it's advertising claims. The Nano absolutely does.

My new Daily Carry

Review:

I was very pleased with it overall. It’s very accurate for a pocket gun. My only gripe is I need a pinky extension for the magazine. I’m sure someone will make one soon. The trigger was a lot nicer than the Ruger LCP and other pocket guns I’ve shot. It was heavy, but not so much that it makes it unpleasant to shot or make you jerk the trigger. You can squeeze them off pretty quick for decent accuracy. If you take your time you can group pretty well. This one moves to the top of the carry cycle and the Kimber SIS will go back in the case for a bit. Not because it’s a better gun than the Kimber, but because it’s a better concealment gun. It's pretty nice that it has no external levers or button to snag on anything. At $399 I’d call it a pretty nice bargain.

New carry gun

Review:

Let me start by saying that I have been looking for a good pocket 9mm for some time now.
First I perchased a Diamond back DB9 It was nice and small but due to failures it has been back to the factory two times and I was done.
Next I steped up to the Kimber solo, again nice small package but mush more $. This gun was about 60% reliable, many failures to feed and eject. After buying a new mag the gun is working better but not perfect.
Now to the NANO, picked up the gun on Dec. 1 Cleaned it, oiled it, and went straight to the range with 5 different types of ammo of different bullets and power levels. after 200 rounds without any problems whatsoever I am ready to carry this gun with confidance.
Good bye to Diamond back and Kimber.

Review:

I just picked up my beretta nano on black friday and got it to the range on the weekend and after putting about 200 rounds thru it i was very happy with the purchase. I got lucky and picked up the 3 of only 3 in the richmond area and was glad i got up at 4am to get to the store and get in line. after shooting 200 rds thru it it never failed to fire, never jammed and it was easy to adjust to the shooting. It started with a bit of a kick but once you get the feel and it also helps if you hold it the right way, it just shot like butter. i've been a beretta fan for many, many years now and as of right now I'm the envy of a few guys at the range and a few friends who are waiting for the next round of Nano's that ship. I highly reccomend this firearm and it's a great addition from the Beretta family and a top pick for the pocket 9's that are out there now....JMO...

I have been looking at this item for quite some time now and was just waiting for the price to drop. Well, the price dropped and jumped all in. The Vault arrived in a well packaged box and it is a beauty. The vault is solid and made from steel with 5 simplex buttons to customize your combination. No batteries required at all; just a well made item that provides deep foam padding to protect your firearm (Up to 2)while providing excellent security. So, if you're planning to travel via airplane and need to declare your firarm, this pistol vault is perfect, plus it meets TSA requirements, provided that you are traveling to and from a state where firearms are permitted while traveling within the United States once the firearm is declared. This was an excellent purchase for me at an excellent price. So, go on out and get you one!

Nano Laser

Review:

Bought this for my wifes Nano. Today was her birthday and we installed it. Very easy, good snug fit, easy to adjust. I noticed one thing and that is to make sure you squeeze the two sides together as you tighten the screws. So far we love it, more importantly my wife loves it!

Great w/o glasses

Review:

I keep my Nano at my bedside at night and realized that even though the Trijicon night sites are great in the dark, without my glasses I couldn't use them. The LaserMax Centerfire works great without my glasses. It is a snap to install and easy to zero. My next test is to remove the sight and reinstall and see how we'll it holds zero. The only downside is finding a pocket holster that fits with the LaserMax installed. I do like to carry in my front pocket using a DeSantis Nemisis. If the LaserMax holds zero after reinstalling I have the best for pocket carry and bedside.

LaserMax for the Nano

Review:

I originally wanted the CrimsonTrace Laser but this one came availiable first and now I am glad I got this one. It was dead on at 10 yards. Point the laser, slowly pull the trigger, and thats what you hit. You can actually shoot from the hip. The on/off button is a benefit cause you don't always need it whereas the CrimsonTrace turns on whenever you grip the gun.

Review:

I've had my Storm for about 2 months and am VERY happy with my purchase. Price is fair and the quality is great! This is my first sa handgun. I like how it's put together and easy to disassemble and clean. I like how it handles, it's balance, and it's accuracy. The size fits well in a belly band or in my purse. Thinking I would like to try the sub compact some day to.

Would be 5...

Review:

Love this gun! Not too big for ccw. Side by side with XDm compact, pretty much the same size even though the PX4 holds 2 more rounds. Looks better and priced better imo. Recoil with the 3.2" rotating barrel is no worse than a standard full size 9mm. My only issue with it is that no one makes a spacer to fill in the gap on the 17/20 round mags. Fixed that by purchasing the one for the sc and using a rotary dremel. Would be 5 stars if I didn't have to customize my own accessories.

PX4 Storm 9MM

Review:

My first center fire handgun. Wasn't easy to learn reassembly, but after a few hours now it's as easy changing cartridges in my printer. I've shot over 500 rounds, the only malfunctions were my fault by trying to ease the slide when chambering the first round and some bad reloads that didn't fire. Of 5 different manufactured loads no missfires. Easy to operate, either hand. I would recommend the Storm for anyone new to handgunning with the caveat that field stripping and reassembly be practiced a few times before one leaves the sales establishment.

Review:

I already own two fine pistols; a Ruger SR9C and as Sig 2022. I bought the beretta PX4 Storm compact 9mm to have a third gun in my collection. I was intrigued with the rotating barrel. I went out shooting the other day. I must say although I enjoy and appreciate my other two pistols, the beretta came out tops. It had less muzzel flip, sights were dialed in perfectly and it was comfortable to handle. Nice job Beretta

Great little gun, bad magazine options

Review:

Love this gun. I have a .40 96FS and have always liked the Beretta style. This little gun is a dream to fire and I like the look better than SA XDm 9mm and it fires equally as well (plus has decock/safety if that is what you want...I do).

My main complaint, and what limits it from getting 5 stars, is that this compact can "use" the standard 17rd PX4 frame mags, but it has about a 1" gap then, and my hand just SCREAMS for a little additional hold. The 17rd mags are perfect, but they don't offer a "rubber spacer" to make the 17rd std mags fit flush (they have something for the sub-compact to use the 17rd STD, but that won't fit the gap here).

Also, anyone considering this, get the 20rd std grip/mag extension, as it will ALSO work on the stock compact 15's to add 3 additional rounds...just sucks to have to buy new 15rd mags and then pay ANOTHER $21 for mag extension...and my 17rd STD frame mags are useless without rubber gap fill.

Review:

It is easy to praise a company when nothing goes wrong. How the company handles a problem determines whether I will purchase their product again. Based upon my recent experience with Beretta, I will not only purchase their products again, I will also highly recommend them to other firearm enthusiasts. My PX4 was back in my hands seven days after they received it. I am impressed.

I think it needs warranty work

Review:

First off, the gun is less than three weeks old. It feels good in the hand and shoots well. I have two problems however. The first problem is with the decocking lever. It is easy to engage but very hard to disengage. I have shot about 600 rounds through the pistol and have cycled the decocker several hundred times. It is still stiff. I let a 6'4" Marine try the pistol and the only comment he had was that the "safety is real stiff". In fact. the PX4 compact versions on display in the stores are much easier to disengage. I noticed that the decocking lever is wearing against the side of the slide on the right side. I don't know if that is the source of the resistance or not. The second problem has to do with the Loaded Chamber Indicator. When the pistol was new, the lever stuck out so you could see the red paint when a round was in the chamber. After one day of firing the pistol, the lever barely sticks out when a round is in the chamber. You do not see any red paint because the lever is almost flush with the slide when a round is in the chamber. It now sticks out about two hair widths. Other than these two items, I like the pistol.

smooth and accuate

Review:

I purchased the PX 4 Storm compact in 9mm shortly after it was released. Out of the box it experienced chronic jams. Beretta replaced the recoil spring with an upgraded version under warranty. Since then there hasn’t been a single jam with several thousand rounds fired. This is my carry weapon and I find it comfortable with both a pancake and inside the waistband holsters. The different size backstraps are a plus. I would recommend this weapon for anyone looking for single and double action in one platform.
I also own a 92F which I love. I was surprised that the PX4 had equal to or less recoil then the 92. The accuracy is equal even with a shorter barrel.
I would recommend that Beretta upgrade the PX4 product line with night sights and adjustable sights that do not require a $130.00 adjustment tool.

Love it... BUT...

Review:

This is the one of the best compacts I have ever fired. I offer this to many students that have never shot before and they love the feel and the accuracy. But those that move past the punching paper to the tactical aspect of shooting will find that the safety/decocker lever will bite you consistantly on any fast slide pulls in any hand on slide positions. I think they know this and offer a "G" model for law enforcement and gov't agencies with out it. But I think you as a consumer should be aware of this also. Beretta, shave the lever down or offer an aftermarket less painfull accessory.

Worth the wait.

Review:

I layawayed this piece for two months after considering a Hi Point, Kel Tec, and a Ruger. The craftsmanship is superior to all of them and the price was right. I love the capacity, the safety/decocker, not needing a magazine extension to get all your finges on the grip, and the rotating barrel. The only minor gripe is that this gun doesn't have tritium sights for low light situations. This is going to be at least a $200 upgrade. Other than that, this is a capable piece of excellent quality. I will definately buy another Beretta.

Very impressive

Review:

I have been shooting for 40 years, and have owned quite a variety of handguns. The PX4 Compact has impressed me greatly with its accuracy and reliability, and it shoots as soft as any 9 mm pistol I have ever shot. As remarkable as it may seem, this pistol has no more recoil than my 92FS, although it is considerably lighter and smaller. (I presume this to be due to the rotating barrel system; if so, it is a stroke of genius to incorporate it into a pistol.) I would recommend this pistol to anyone who is interested in a mid-sized 9mm with a thumb safety. Beretta pistols are always well designed and made with a high level of craftsmanship, and the PX4 is no exception. Beretta quality paired with a modest price makes this pistol an exceptional value.

Review:

I don't 40 cal listed yet under the compact series but wow what a great new firearm. I was going to wait for a full size model but I was lucky to come across someone at the range with one and he let me try it. Recoil was greatly manageable and accuracy was splendid. Did not know of the compact model. I was sold on it and left the range with one that day. I had been looking for a carry 40 and have tried 3 other major brands models and was not satisfied. I carry using a Don Hume inside pants belt holster and it was very comfy. Especially while driving and bending over. Great job Beretta.

Awesome... Gotta get used to it, though.

Review:

Initially, I experienced some of the stove piping and mis-feed issues some others have complained about for this model (during the first 250 rounds or so). I was using crappy ammo and had too small of a back strap installed, i.e., I was limp-wristing it. I also changed my grip to allow for maximum contact area between my hands and the grip (as opposed to the thumb-over-thumb method). Trust me... I'm working on my PhD in mechanical engineering. This is kind of my thing. After thinking about my previous grip and the associated kinetics/kinematics, I wasn't allowing for proper slide movement with my grip. Also, I upgraded to better ammo and changed to the largest back strap (which promotes absorption of more kinetic energy into the viscoelastic tissues in your hand while allowing for the full range of motion of the slide) and I haven't had an issue in well over 1000 rounds. I would trust my life to this weapon.

Review:

this gun is the best pistol i have ever shot. i have had it for 10 months, put about 2000 rds thru it of all kinds and never have had a single jam. i have big hands and it fits perfectly w/ the large backstrap i can't think of any gun in this price range that comes close. it is my carry gun and i am 100% sure if i need to pull the trigger it's going to fire. i would note that cleanliness is godliness, but i'm sure this gun would be fine even if i didn't keep it pristine. just like alot of people comment on the range-it's a beretta it'll last forever! i reccomend this gun to anyone novice or pro-you will never be disappointed. only problem is once you have one, then you will then want a nano and a px4 sub-compact! thanks beretta after all these years while some have cheapened things up to save cash, pietro's spirit still commands you to make the best! chao.

Review:

Bought my px4 storm compact yesterday, took it to the range today. First use more expensive ammo, no problems. Used cheap ammo, 25 bucks for 100 rounds, no problems. Put 140 rounds through without any problems. No stray shots, no jams, very accurate at 15 yards. Nothing outside of 9 on concentrated shots. I've taken handgun courses, and rented handguns, but this is my first to own. Great feel, low low recoil, doesn't jam with cheap ammo. Gotta keep it clean tho. Great gun, probably stick with beretta for a while.

Very Nice, now.

Review:

I purchased the PX4 Compact in 9MM as a carry weapon about a month ago. First impression at the range was disappointing. The gun would misfeed almost every round. I called the store where I bought it and spoke to the gunsmith. He explained that the recoil spring might be too stiff and that Beretta had a web page to order a new one. I thought that would be an easy fix to the problem so I went to Beretta's website to look.

More disappointment - according to the website, my serial number indicated that my gun did not have a problem! With no apparent way to contact Beretta directly, I resorted to call back my gunsmith. After some conference, he suggested leaving the gun locked in the open position for several days, followed up with a switch to a different brand of ammo. I did both. The result was much improved. Only one misfeed in 50 rounds. Since then, I have looked into several different brands of ammo and am getting mixed results. My gun apparently prefers a slightly hotter load, for some reason. Perhaps in time, the spring will loosen up a bit and I'll be able to shoot target loads with it.

My overall impression so far is very favorable. The gun has low recoil, is comfortable to hold and conceals well. It would have gotten 5 stars if not for the initial hassles.

I originally purchased a PX4 Strom .40 Full Size, I loved it so much I investigated the other PX4 models. I read so many good things about the PX4 Storm 9MM Compact I purchased one the other day. It lived up to absolutely every accolade given it. The gun shoots better than any pistol I own and am now spoiled to shoot anything thing else. Flawless in form and function!

Review:

Review:

Had a few problems first day due to poor ammo. Since then very few. Great, very accurate and feels good in the hand however, I am about to sell it. The safety/decocker is the most miserable idea they ever had. It is pointed/sharp and is impossible to rack quickly without tearing your fingers. Please Beretta, offer another smoother version. It looks pretty but is bad functionally. Make another and I will stay with you. This is the fourth Beretta I have owned. It may be my last.

PX4 Storm 9mm compact

Review:

I purchased my PX4 in may and shot three rounds. Second round stove piped on me. didn't shoot it again until i got to Florida. Everyother round jammed. I was beside myself. When I got home i drove to CT. to an auth. smith. Long story short it needed a light er recoil spring (which the smith knew right off the bat) 10 days later I got it back and not one problem since. The sites could be a bit more in center line because I have to place the center dot to the right to hit the target spot on. Now that all this is behind me this a great gun...I love the feel, alot of fun to shoot.

Top Notch Firearm

Review:

I recently purchased the PX4 Storm Compact 9mm about a month ago, and I can say that it is a quality firearm. I have shot over 2,000 rounds through it already and not ONE single issue. It is also a VERY accurate gun with low recoil. I have long carried a Glock 19 as my concealed carry weapon, but the PX4 has replaced it as my daily carry gun. Nothing wrong with a Glock, but I prefer the manual safety/decocker on the PX4. You will not be disappointed with the PX4 Compact.

Great firearm from a great company!

Review:

I recently purchased the Beretta Px4 Storm chambered for a .40 S&W. I had already owned the Cx4 Storm for many years and that rifle fires like a charm and I expected nothing less of greatness from the pistol version. I was correct. When I first purchase the Px4 I first did a field strip, which was hassle free I may add, I observed the quality of the parts, the barrel, rod, trigger mechanism, hammer and so on, very high quality, I then got a chance to take it to the range, I was very impressed, I first started at the 20 yrd line, some shots were off but the groupings stayed tight, as expected when firing a new pistol, then as the day progressed, all shots fired were dead center at all distances. This pistol is by far one of the best pistols I own and extremely comfortable to carry on a daily basis. Beretta has always lived up to their quality standards and they continue to keep me a proud owner of their arms.

New Compact

Review:

I already have both the full size and subcompact PX4s. Just added the new Compact model and of the 3 this is now my favorite version. It is as reliable and accurate as the other but it feels the most comfortable in my large hands. Also I find that the felt recoil is less. Perhaps this is due to the addition of the recoil spring cover, I don't know, but whatever tweaks the Beretta engineers made to this new model, it really works. I predict this will become the most popular model in the PX4 series. I hope they introduce a "C" system Compact in the future. In all "Well done Beretta".
