92FS

Review:

My first pistol ever was the Beretta, 92 FS. I was 12 years old. I mowed yards and saved every dime I could manage to scrap up. My father purchased the firearm of course, and taught me how to shoot a pistol with the 92 FS. I am 34 now, and still have the 92 FS, 9mm that my father taught me with. Over 22yrs old and the gun still shoots like she's brand new!

Reliable

Review:

I purchased my brand new 92FS on 2003 and I never leave home without it. Is easy to operate, never failed me when I fire it and with the hi-cap magazines makes my gun the perfect to carry for protection. Because I'm in the military, I get easy access of training materials for the safety operation and maintenance of the M9 and I recommend anyone to buy it.

Beretta 92fs perfection

Review:

I have owned at one time or another handguns from most of the manufactorers of handguns that are accessible in the U.S. from Colt to Kimber, Ruger to Smith, Glock to Springfield and I have to take my hat off to Beretta. The fit and finish is beautiful. The 92fs handles like a dream. The controls are easily reached by the most subtle of movements without losing the master grip on the gun. The recoil is extremely light and it is spot on accurate right out of the box. I am very pleased wit the 92fs. I think that "Glock Perfection" may be due for a name change because the 92fs is an amazing piece of hardware.

many years ago a 92S was my issue gun, in the eman time I fired and owned several other guns, but I always go back to the 92, it just feels the best. may be it's memories, may be it's being Italian. I lately used swiss ammo in 124 gr that was amazing. In 8 years i fired approx. 7,000 rounds, a lot of russian with steel case with no issues at all. So the 92 rocks for me.

Excellent

Review:

No kidding, this gun will shoot any ammo very accurately. I purchased a slightly used (really brand spanking new--it even smelled new) 92 FS from my local range... I am in the military and have handled the M9 on several occasions. I purchased the 92 FS because it is practically identical to the M9 in function and handling. This weapon has never let me down. I've never had a single malfunction with this sidearm. I have since purchased a PX4 .45, PX4SC 9mm and have yet to be let down by Beretta. It's no wonder why Beretta kept the government contract so long. My 92FS will stay with me forever. I've probably put 1500 rounds through her and she still looks and feels brand spanking new.

USA MADE 92 FS

Review:

After looking at many of the 9mm handguns available I narrowed my choices down to two:The US made 92FS and the Glock 19.I picked the 92FS and purchased it in June 2012.At the range I learned the 92FS has excellent accuracy right out of the box, with no adjustments needed.I fired about 250 rounds that day with NO malfunctions.I would have fired alot more rounds but,I ran out of ammo! That will not happen again.Disassembly for maintenance is very easy and can be done in a matter of seconds. Anyone looking for a Rugged and Dependable handgun that is just plain fun to shoot and is carried by our military forces, the Beretta 92FS is for you.

An excellent pistol to shoot, easy to handle and put on target. I usually shoot 1911 .45's but bought a Beretta 92 FS last year and wished I would have done it sooner. No probems with this model and just easy to shoot and get excellent groupings and would tell anyone if they want an excellent 9mm pistol to look no further than the Beretta 92 FS.

92FS Hard to find a used one for a reason!

Review:

I felt moved by reading other reviews of this gun enough to share my love for the 92FS.
The first hand gun and first 92FS I ever owned my then wife bought for me almost 20yrs ago. I loved that gun...but couldn't let the wife shoot it after her first time EVER at the range and first time firing a larger than .22 caliber gun, she shot a bulls eye 5 times in a row after the second pull of the trigger. And all I'm trying to say is if a "True Novice" can fire this gun and hit the mark dead on, why wouldn't you want this gun?
I made the mistake of selling my pride and joy in 2005 and as the man placed the cash in my hand I knew I had made a HUGE mistake.
After years of regret I talked it over with my new wife and 29 September 2011 I bought another Beretta Mod. 92FS. I already know it will provide years of protection as well as target shooting fun for my family!
I have other hand guns as well.
A Sig Sauer SP2340 .40 cal, Sig Sauer 1911 .45 cal, Sig Sauer SP2022 .40 cal, A FNX-9 9mm.
The SP2022 and FNX-9 are the wife's. I do love her FNX-9 I'm just not real happy with the way it ejects the spent cartridges. Not a fan of hot brass flipping back at me!
Some final thoughts for you guys and gals on the fence about this gun.
If you are afraid of the cost of ammo DO NOT BUY THIS GUN!!! You WILL NOT want to stop shooting it! And for the record NO I am NOT joking! I have fired all different types of ammo NEVER a problem with jam, yes some were dirtier than others but no jams!
If you are concerned about the lack of a tac rail, look the site over, there is a bolt on one for right under $60. So maybe you don't like the 10 round, or 15 round clips is that it? I mean the FNX-9 is 17 rounds. I'm pretty sure the Glocks are right at 17 rounds...well guess what? Beretta HAS 17 round clips for the 92FS. Yes they are factory clips not the cheap knock offs! I own 7 of them they fit just fine can't even tell it's a 17 round clip! They also have 30 round clips also I'm not real fond of their looks in the gun, but hey it's out there!
Oh and by the way they have been the side arm for U.S.G.I.'s for how long again? Bout 27 years (1985)
If you have ever tried to find one used, did you ever think there might be a reason it's pretty hard to find a used Beretta Mod 92FS? And if you do it's usually only a couple hundred less than a new one unless it's real beat up! At least that's how it is around here in Southwest Florida.
Well I guess that bout wraps it up!
I hope if you read this it might help you make a decision as to buy or not! I didn't need any help I already knew this was a great gun that looks freaking sweet, is functional, rapid fire never a problem with ejection, easy to field strip and clean...finally a "Brand New Shooter" can find the bulls eye with little to NO trouble at all!
I am NOT on Beretta's payroll but if you guys would like to send me some SWAG I would show it off with pride!!!

Thank You Beretta I love your gun! Send some SWAG lol no really!

Review:

I've been shooting handguns for decacdes, but this the best by far. Accuracy, safety, easy to maintain, light, and comfortable. I've shot about a 1K rounds without a problem or loss of accuracy...I'd like to think it's me, but all of the credit goes to Beretta!!!

None better than the 92 FS

Review:

I have had mine for over ten years. I can shoot left or right handed with total accuracy. I have NEVER had a weapon that I feel more comfortable with - that I feel more secure as my partner - than this gun. Minimal recoil and the shock is absorbed mostly by the gun and not the wrist. Sighting is perfect. Nothing I can say can sing the praises of this Beretta!

Back to Straight Dust Covers and Classic looks!

Review:

Can't say enough about how good this gun is! USA Made, Italian designed. I held out to find it, and paid $25 more for the trouble. Maybe an added bonus, my Gun bought in July 2011 has a straight dust cover. Don't know is this has been sitting around for years, or if Beretta USA just has switched back to the classic lines now that the 92A1 and 96A1 are legal in CA. Either way, I love the classic look.

I get better shooting it every day, and my wife is even getting to like shooting a center fire handgun because the recoil is just so easy to handle. Heck, I have never tried shooting left-handed until this past weekend, and was still able to get a 4 in group at 7 yards. I was half-worried I would miss the target completely!

My only complaint, wish the finish on the barrel was a bit more durable. Maybe I will get an INOX barrel as an enhancement.

So, I walked into a gun shop to buy my first pistol and when I saw the 92 FS INOX, I fell in love with the look and feel of the pistol. I looked at others, but none compared. Once I started shooting it.....WOW what an experience. Very accurate and easy to handle for a first time handgun owner.

Review:

The 92 series is one of the best shooting 9mm pistols I have ever fired. Had one years ago (92fs) that had to sell because i needed cash, said I would get another one day. Decided to get the M9A1. Definitely thinking of adding another 92 to my collection later.

Beretta 92FS TYPE M9A1 9mm

Review:

This is my second Beretta, the first being a 92G. As a retired LEO I carried a S&W .357 and retired before they went to Glocks. Active Army with a .45 ACP and then the M9. I find the M9A1 a real joy to shoot. I would love to shoot more but with the current shortage of ammo, it's difficult to find Ball and I don't to shoot up all the JHP ammo.
Great weapon!

I can defense myself with my very own M9A1

Review:

I never thought of owning any gun in my house until i hold this gun at the gun store. I have shot the M9 in the military so I want something that I will be farmiliar with. This gun is just as beautiful as it ever created. At first, I plan to my the mil spec one but after more research and comparing through Beretta compare chart. I realize that this gun has the laser rail, 2 white dots for rear sight, sand-resistant mag. It's beyond what Im looking for. I got a good deal on it before the Gun ban law drives everything up. I was so excited to pick it up after 10days. I even bought the UpLula speed load for its mag. I'm so happy to own this M9A1 and still think this gun is a must for home defense with its safety lever that you can't mistaken. It's so sturdy to hold and the shape is just like a gun should look like. there is nothing I want to change about this gun. I can not wait to put the very first round through it. Recommend for anyone doesn't like too much recoil.

I've been drooling over this since before I turned 21. I finally picked one up today. I haven't shot it much, but I can tell already that this is the best weapon I have ever fired. I had another 9mm before this and that was a quality weapon, but this M9A1 beats any Glock, 1911, or anything else I have ever shot.

Great gun!

Review:

truly a beauty...

i've been wanting this gun since i was a little boy 15yrs ago...it all started when i watched a movie with a u.s. serviceman being confronted by locals carrying machetes in a 3rd world country then his buddy showed-up and pulled out an m9 from his back and fired 2 rds in the air. they all backed-up and his buddy was safe.

ive waited this long to buy one and i am so satisfied. it is not too heavy and not too small like other tiny pistols. it feels just right in my big hands, by the way im not a big guy. it cam with 2 nickel coated 15rd mags plus i bought an additional 2 18rd mags black.

first i was undecided whether to get an m9, 92fs or the 92fs/m9a1. after 3 days ive decided to get the m9a1. you cant go wrong with the latest model of its kind plus option to add accesories on the rail.

i havent fired any rounds thru it yet but we'll see how the polymer guide rod stand thru all the torture.

I bought a new M9A1 from my local gun store for $595 brand new in Nov 2011. I admit the only reason I bought it was I wanted the "Marine Corp" side arm. Wow ! I love this pistol, immediately I shoot better than any other 9mm pistol I have. This pistol with a tact light will be my nightstand pistol. It has one of the cleanest sight pictures I have ever seen. Highly recommended !!

92FS quality & Beretta Support

Review:

Many years ago I bought a 92F one of the original Italian manufactured models. I shot it & shot it, many tens of, if not over a hundred thousand rounds. The last round I ever fired had a catastrophic failure, case rupture(NATO surplus) causing irrepairable damage. I sent to Beretta with a full description of the occurence and history. They replied that it was hopelessly damaged. A few months later I received a new replacement, on Beretta. I own 6 of their pistols in various models & love them all. It is no wonder they are 500 years & counting.

First range trip with M9A1

Review:

My M9A1 was bought new. I added a D spring, Elite II hammer and extended mag release, and rubber base pads to two of the (CA required) 10-round mags. After a field strip and initial cleaning, I headed to the range for the first outing with this Beretta (not my first 92 (grin).

First things first. Fired 150 rounds in sets of 5 and 10 rounds each with NO problems or failures of ANY kind. The M9A1 was flawless.

Ammo fired:
50 rounds Win USA 115 gr. FMJ
50 rounds Win Super-X 147 gr. FMJ-FP
50 rounds Win Ranger 124 gr. +P JHP

Might just be psychological, but the M9A1 seemed like the softest shooting of any of my 92s. While that was especially true with the 147 gr. Super-X; even the 124 gr. +P Ranger seemed to have minimum muzzle flip in this gun. I know the rail does not add very much weight forward, so I'm not certain that that has anything to do with the feel. Nonetheless, I gotta say that I loved it. I could have shot the 147 gr. loads all day. I think that the relatively thin factory plastic grips on the gun, combined with moderately aggresive checkering on the front and backstraps, also give this gun a very nice "feel". VERY pleased with my latest Beretta purchase!

No Regrets

Review:

I purchased my M9A1 new in 2006 for about $850. I was in the market for a full sized pistol, primarily for home defense. I wanted one with an accessory rail so I could attach a weapon light. Having a weapon light on my pistol would free up one of my hands and make it easier to open doors. I decided on the M9A1 because it was (#1) mil spec, (#2) had an accessory rail, and (#3) had a chrome lined barrel. All in all, this would be a pistol that would last a very long time. I purchased a Insight M6X Laser Tactical Illuminator to mount on the accessory rail. The M6X is also mil spec and was perfect for the M9A1.

Over the last five years, I have put several thousand rounds through my M9A1 and I have had no problems. Now, I use it primarily for action pistol at my local gun club. The M9A1 is perfect for action pistol. Having a metal upper and lower, it weighs more than pistols that have a polymer lower (like a Glock). The extra weight helps keep what little recoil there is under control. Acquiring and reacquiring targets while firing rapidly is a breeze even at medium and longer ranges.

The only down side of purchasing a M9A1 in 2006, was not being able to find a descent holster. However, that has changed in the last couple of years. There are a number of manufacturers making good holsters for the M9A1 now.

A Piece of American History

Review:

I qualified with the M9 in the Navy and I thought the Beretta shot so well that I had to go out and buy my own. I decided to buy the M9A1 and use it for personal defense. I have only dropped 200 rounds through it thus far but it shoots like a pistol should, accurate right out of the box. This pistol is well worth it if you want a great 9mm. This is the reason Beretta has been around since the early 1500's. Some people don't like the weight or the fact that the Beretta is too big, but to be honest, this is what sold this in my mind. I can only hope that Beretta makes this version in a 40S&W in the future.

The Beretta M9A1 won't fail you...

Review:

I first became familiar with the Beretta M9 pistol when I took the US Air Force's M9 training class while working for the US Department of Defense a few years back...

This was prior to purchasing my own firearm for personal protection and when I finally saved enough money to buy my own handgun, I was certainly glad my choice was the Beretta M9A1!

This handgun has a fit and feel that's exceptionally balanced, even with a fully loaded 15 round magazine installed and the guns range performance is unmatched...

I've mated mine with a Tagua molded leather thumb break holster and it’s conformed so tight to my body that I hardly know its there at times...

In fact, I never leave home with out it any more and I truly wear it most days of the week, even while performing light chores around the cabin...

I've even worn it to dinner while in public with family and friends as this gun is easily concealed under my dinner jacket with an attached holster.

Heck on occasion, it’s even accompanied me to church as you never know when the Lord might call upon you for support!

All kidding aside...I've never had an issue yet with carrying this firearm fully loaded with a live round chambered and the safety on.

It's one of Americas most long standing defensive side arms in use by Americas armed forces and even in intense combat situations this gun has proven itself time and time again...

It's been battle tested for many years...to with stand the harshest of environments.

This firearm is one of our Nations best sidearm’s...

I am confident that if I am ever called on to match force upon force...this gun will not fail me.

It's amazingly accurate and extremely reliable.

And it has everything you would expect from one of the oldest active firearm manufacturers in the world.

Thanks Beretta,

Yours Truly,

KJ

A Great Firearm

Review:

Having previously been "a Glock guy," it took a little adjustment to transition from the Glock's single action only, to the M9s' double/single action. But with practice these issues are long gone. It's a pistol that is easy to shoot, and easy to shoot well with, very accurate right out of the box.

It's very well put together, and i have had no issues with this gun in terms of malfunctions/feeding problems. To be a 9mm it's a little on the heavy side, it's a "big framed pistol," which might not make it suited for some shooters.

I was a little skeptical to the plastic guide rod pin, guess i would have preferred a steel one, said that, thus far, after more than a thousand rounds, it has held up very well.

The M9A1 and its sibling the M9, has been in service now with the US Armed forces for many years. This is a gun that truly is built to take a beating and see prolonged use under harsh conditions, so for civilian target use this gun should last you a lifetime.

I have searched high and low for the gun and was almost going to settle on a .40 cal version but I looked below it in the display case and there she was. I traded 2 guns and a laser for this gun and don't regret it.
Today was the 1st day on the range and all I can say is it is the most accurate out of the box gun I have ever shot. Very little muzzle flip or recoil. I am a very happy customer!

Outstanding Weapon

Review:

Right out of the box this weapon was on the mark. I held the center 5 inch ring with every round (13). I'm not a pro but love to visit the range and would consider myself to be a good shot. I had this weapon shipped to my local range/FFL and immediately found that the weapon fit my hand comfortably. The three different size grips allow you to find a happy medium whether you have small or large hands. I have fired many different types of .45 rounds and found that the PX4 eats ammo like I eat cake... With multiple trips to the range I haven't had one malfunction. I couldn’t be more pleased with this sidearm. I own an array of firearms from many different manufacturers and I've got to say Beretta has never let me down. I also own the PX4 Subcompact and 92FS... All three superb weapons... The PX4 Storm .45 is my favorite. I recommend this weapon for beginners and avid shooters alike. It is easy to operate with very little recoil, a breeze to field strip, and maintains that balanced feel and accuracy I’m sure most professionals require… The sights are easily utilized. I can’t comment on the adjustment of the sights because as I said before, this .45 was very accurate right out of the box. The rotating barrel is also something to talk about as it is the first I’ve fired. I’m sure it adds to the smaller recoil and it brings positive attention at the range. Firing it for my first time, I had another shooter come over asking what caliber I was shooting because I was so accurate. He also found the rotating barrel to be a unique, interesting and very useful feature. Buy it, you won’t regret it…

A cut above everything else

Review:

An outstanding weapon which has raised the bar in my expectations of handgun performance. This is the first polymer pistol which genuinely impresses me. I have experience with several other New Wave designs, including Glock and S&W and Steyr, and as good as they are, the Px4 introduces a level of control that has to be experienced to be believed. No other handgun I have fired recovers from recoil and comes back on target so readily as the Px4. I can only agree that the rotating barrel dynamically improves the recoil recovery, though the ergonomics clearly are an improvement over its major competitors. I took more than 300 rounds of dirty-burning, cheap ammo with me the first time I fired mine; my goal was to test how well it did when it truly dirty, but reliability has been flawless. The only thing missing is more aggressive marketing by Beretta; they have a world-beater in the Px4, and they need to drive home that the Px4 outclasses its competitors for endurance and reliability and accuracy across the board.

This is a really fun and reliable gun. I got the gun in April as my first hand gun. I have put 300 rounds down range right out of the box. I have not had a FTF FTE or any other problems. This gun is easy to field strip and clean. The gun feel really good in my hand and it is nice that it has the interchangeable back straps. I use the large back strap but it is nice to change it out so my wife can use it when she wants to shoot.

I have already put 600+ rounds thru it, accurate right out of the box. This is a MUST own weapon. I looking at the 45 ACP.

This firearm was my first purchase as a gun owner and all I can say is Wow. The finish on this gun is superb. The handling is tight and recoil is great. Field stripping this gun is a piece of cake and maintenance isn't to bad. I would say about 9/10 times I go to the range somebody always wants to check out this gun. Beretta I would never regret this purchase as a gun owner and people out there I would suggest you give it a shot.

Beretta PX Storm is better than GLOCK 31

Review:

I used a SIG 40 caliber when I was a police officer, and it lacked stopping power so I bought a Glock 31 357 caliber. I owned it for 7 years, and loved it. I never thought I would own another pistol, but when I reviewed new pistols for my security company I was surprised when I picked up the PX 4 Storm. The PX 4 storm feels amazing in your hand, fires smooth, sights are perfect, and the rotating barrel displaces enough energy that when you shoot a 40 caliber round it feels like your shooting a 22, and when you shoot a 45 ACP it feels like your shooting a 9mm. I was so impressed I chose the Beretta PX 4 Storm 45 ACP to be the official slandered sidearm of company, and I sold my Glock, and purchased a PX 4 Storm 45 ACP for my personal weapon. I never though I would say this, but forget glock! The Beretta PX 4 storm is better!

New to Experienced

Review:

This pistol is made with the finest of details and quality. I enjoy shooting and is most semi-auto's have found that the .40 S&W has taken the caliber war by storm... until recently. With the military advance, the quality factory loads and all of the aspects of making the round a true stopper, the .45 is really the round of choice. In this firearm it is an explosive projectile that you feel totally in control of. Recoil experienced is not as severe. The back straps for the grip make this fit the hand very comfortably as well. The slide is smooth and the operation of each feature of this weapon is flawless. Slamming out a box or two of rounds reveal it is accurate and fun to shoot. Again, this is due to the hand, wrist and shoulder not taking a beating from recoil. Steel clears the slide rather quickly, so a stove pipe seems unlikely and no jams have been experienced through the first 300 rounds. Not that this is unusual, but there are those firearms that cannot make that claim. I am usually a Colt or a Sig guy, but this caught my eye and my purchase has been very much an excellent experience. As a final note...changing out the back strap to fit smaller or larger hands seems to give the pistol a better controlability. If you're looking for a .45 with finely crafted features and reliabiltiy, the Px4 Storm is the easy and affordable choice.

I've always been pretty good with rifles and shotguns but not pistols. I bought a PX4 and hit a bulls eye at 50 ft. with the first shot. After another 100 rounds or so I realized that this gun is incredible! Excellent design, light weight, balanced and easy to maintain. I liked it so much I have since bought a Silver Pigeon 12 gauge and love it too!

Best Handgun I have ever fired

Review:

My love affair with Beretta started while I was in the Army and my issued weapon was the M9. After leaving the Army I wanted to have my own M9 but for years I was not able to have one. When it was finally okay for me to purchase my M9, a buddy of mine took me out to shoot his Colt 1911 .45ACP. I fell in love with the caliber but not the feel of the Colt. I went to my local arms dealer where I found and held the Px4 .45ACP. When I learned about the rotating barrel and all of the other really nice features plus the weight how it is balanced and how it felt in my hand, I knew that this was the one for me. I have had the gun for just over a month and have already put over 500rds through her. She feels great, and she shoots straight. My next purchase: the Beretta Px4 Subcompact .40. If you are thinking about getting a Px4 .45ACP, stop thinking and go get you one, you won't ever regret it.

Review:

Shot the gun for the first time today. AWESOME! The recoil was only slightly more than that of my wife's PX4 SC 9mm. The more I shot, the tighter the groups got, but right out of the box it was fairly accurate. After 100 rounds of 230 gr FMJ, you could notice the groups tightening up. Overall a great gun.

Review:

The Beretta Px4 Storm .45ACP was the first pistol I purchased. I specifically wanted a .45ACP that had Beretta's reliability. The rotatry barrel system is great and does reduce felt recoil. My Px4 has less snapp and felt recoil than the Glock 27 I used to own, which I sold to fund a Px4 Sub-Compact .40S&W. The Px4 .45ACP is also very accurate. The factory sights are good, but I traded them in for Trijicon sights, which are better in my opinion. Blackhawk now makdes Serpa holsters and magazine holsters for the Px4 as well. Other good holsters are the Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC IWB and Fobus OWB.

Pure Awesomeness!!

Review:

Gotta love this gun. Ive got about 250 rounds through it now. Not one single hickup. Ive ran cheap and good FMJs and JHPs. This gun ate them all for breakfast. The first hundred was just with a quick wipe down of the extra shipping oil. No other cleaning. The sights are dead on, my 25yd accuracy on first range visit was a 5" spread through the full 14rd mag. I did have one flyer but it was me, not the gun. I would trust this gun with my life. Once I find a good IWB holster and get my CCW this will be my carry weapon.

Px4 Storm .40 cal

Review:

I've owned a Beretta Model 84 (.380 cal) for 30 years and it still shoots as good as brand new. The grips are more round than the typical semi-automatic and fit my hand better. The bullet feed was called a "garbage throat" way back when. It feeds everything without hesitation. This weapon made me a Berreta fan for life.
I also own a Glock G23 .40 cal. The G23 shoots pretty good and is viturally indestructable......after all it's a Glock. But after holding the Px4 Storm I had to have one. I am not disappointed at all. I took it straight to the range and ran 100 rounds through it. Shooters on both sides of me wanted to know what make of weapon was shooting so fine. At 7 yards I shot the center out of the target with 20 rounds. I threw 1 round into the 8 ring, and 1 into the 7 ring (1st round - double action).
Both the double action and especially single action are so super smooth. No hang-ups or delays at all as you pull the trigger. Exhale and think about pulling the trigger and it fires. Be prepared for scores to improve b/c this bad boy shoots before you have time to jerk the round off target.
Smoothest trigger action I've ever used outside of a Clark job on a 1911; Rolling block safety; Easy to disassemble and clean; very comfortable grips for any hand size - reminding me of my Model 84; the flawless bullet feed does too..........all of these features make this a must buy if you really want a lifetime weapon that is craftsman made.

Review:

After test-firing seven different 9mm semi-autos, both hammer-fired and striker-fired, I settled on the Beretta Px4 Storm Inox due to its accuracy, comfort and safety features. With severe arthritis in my hands and wrists, I found the Px4 provided the greatest recoil abatement. I have put 1000 rounds through it without a single FTF or FTE. All in all, a great choice for me.

This is the ninth Beretta I own, so they must be doing something awesome. This is my favorite Beretta handgun because of accuracy and reliability; never had a failure to feed or fire. I also bought the .22 conversion kit which I have only used with my wife's 92. The M9 is certainly a much better firearm than the 1911 I carried in early 1970's. You won't go wrong with this choice. Great firearm!

Almost too perfect

Review:

I bought a used M9 just over 2 years ago. It was in good condition but showed obvious wear which is to be expected.
The M9 has been my only pistol for over two years and I've shot it a LOT, thousands of rounds. I have fed it all kinds of crap ammo that has gotten terrible reviews online but the M9 WILL NOT FAIL!!

To this day I have had no failure to feed/fire/eject. This adds up to 100% reliability.

Other shooters will tell you that their pistols are very reliable and only fail if they use certain types of ammunition or if they "limp wrist" their guns.

When I talk about my M9 to other shooters, I don't need to make ANY excuses. "My M9 always works" is the only thing I have to say.

I will continue on my mission to get my M9 to fail, if only once, by buying the lowest quality ammo the world has to offer. But I am not optimistic.
Beretta M9 never fails.

Best gun you will find!

Review:

For anyone out there that is deciding what is the best gun for you, it is hands down the Beretta M9(92fs). I spent hours upon hours of researching on the internet for almost six months in search for the best handgun. Looking through blogs, youtube videos, talking to gun experts, renting guns at shooting ranges, I have come to the conclusion that the Beretta M9(92fs) is hands down the most reliable, most tested, most accurate, and most trusted handgun out there. I bought mine a few months back and it is my first handgun. Thanks to my grandparents I have shot countless types of handguns. This gun is by far the most comfortable and most accurate. It is a truly amazing that after 25 years the M9(92fs) is still kicking every other handgun's butt out there. Thank you Beretta for the M9!

Frankly, a couple of my shootin' buddies are a bit jealous.

Honestly I only chose the M9 over the current production 92FS for the styling. The strait dustcover appeals to me more than the current slanted one. And really I'm glad I made that choice, Ive begun to really prefer these sights to 3 dots. These just seem faster to me.

It is the most accurate gun I've ever fired. It NEVER JAMS with FMJ or hollow points.

Of course, it's a full frame pistol, so I don't have much luck with an inside the belt holster for concealed carry. It's best carried with an outside CC holster under a shirt of jacket.

Love this gun!

I carried a Beretta M9/92FS in the Army and during the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was beat up, finish was wear off. I must have put thousands of NATO ball ammo through it without a flaw and always on the mark. In the rain, snow, sand storms. I now carry a 92FS as my personal side arm as a retired vet. My 92FS is a lot prettier than my old M9 but just as wicked. I have Glocks, Colts, Sigs and S&W's. Chambered in 9mm ,40, 45. I'm going to carry a proven war horse. I went with the metal trigger rod just out of tradition. I'm an Italian American combat vet and my Beretta is my a Italian American sidearm of choice.

This is my first gun, but I did a lot of research before purchasing the 92FS. I noticed this had great reviews by everyone who did online comparisons to other makes like Glock, among others. This is simple to use, easy to clean and has plenty of safety features. Every aspect of the gun is well thought out and made with superior craftsmanship. At first the trigger was a little stiff, but after using it on the range a few times, that got worked out of it, and now it's a perfectly smooth operating self defense weapon. I'm very glad I bought a Beretta, and wouldn't have a problem trusting my safety to it.

Wow! I have spent some good money on guns but the investment and purchase i recently made on a Beretta 92FS which i got for considerably less than my other handguns is probably my favorite gun now. The craftsmanship the feel the weight and the accuracy out of the box is by far excellent. A gun has never felt better in my hand than this 92fs GREAT JOB BERETTA. Know i know why this is the choice of most Military Units and Law Enforcement "Where you point you hit" right out of the box and it's the easiest gun to clean yet, which everyone has to do and usually a tougher job on most like 1911'S. I have been joined at the hip with Berreta for a quarter century now.

I was in charge of Combat MMS training at the USA John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center's (SF) CINC in extremes force course (counter terrorism unit) when the Army Transitioned from the 1911 to the 92F - we used more 9mm at that one course than any other unit of the US. I was dead in the middle of that "explosive slide failure" controversy that unfairly gave this guns detractors a reason to bitch.

What a lot of people missed in the controvery is that NO GUN would stand up to the abuse that those berrettas received (ie. hot carbine ammo)

NO GUN would hang in their like our Berretas did. If anything ever went down on one of the guns it would be a locking lug - (the shoy just felt "crunchy" and the slide would be jammed.

If you knew what your doing it would be a quick fix behind the firing line and everything was back on track in 5 minutes

These were extremely rare .

Since then I have taught thousands of LE, Miltary and Agencies advanced MMS and I will tell you this

If a gun goes down on the range of mixed guns it isnt the berretta causing the problems (Ive never seen a front site fall off a Berretta like ive seen with glocks)

I am overseas and just got another beretta here (3000 bucks when you count the smuggling costs :-) and know this gun will perform better than any other on my ranges

A great firearm

Review:

I was one of the last Marines to use a 1911 as a standard issue firearm prior to the transition to the Beretta. I selected the Beretta when I took up recreational shooting, mostly out of curiosity. I found it to be 100% reliable for target shooting, and for IPSC Production and IDPA use. About the only thing I'd suggest to make it perfect for all applications is a bit of trigger work, and a slightly longer (6") custom barrel for increased velocity. A number of reputable firms offer these enhancements (Jarvis, etc.). If you don't care about such things, rest assured, it works beautifully out of the box.

Great Chose

Review:

Hello future Beretta owners. If you are reading this, let me thank you for your time. In the past few months I was very indecisive on my first handgun. I was looking thought most CA legal guns. After doing a lot of reading, asking questions and reviews; I ended on the Beretta 92 FS in black or the non-glare finish. I have shot 150 since I picked it up. At 30 meters "it is very reliable and accurate." Plus I just feel in love with the handle and design. Not really planning on a CCW with it... Best of luck to you if you are thinking on buying this gun or a stainless steel one

Great Gun.

Review:

I love my 92FS. My dad was in the military and had this gun. This gun saved my dad's live while he was in the service. When I turned twenty one he bought me the 92 FS and told me about his time serving and how reliable this gun is. Thank you beretta for making a great gun and also for giving our military such great guns. This is the only gun I own and that will never change. The gun is easy to clean, accurate, and is made better than any other gun on the market. If your thinking about buying this gun, just go ahead and buy it. You can't put a price on quality or your life.

Thank You Beretta I love your gun!

Silky Smooth Beretta 92FS

Review:

Well, I've told you about my wonderful experience with purchasing the Beretta Nano 9mm last month. Nothing has changed; I still feel the same way. The gun is truly amazing and is an excellent concealed carry weapon. Well, maybe a little has changed. I just purchased my very own Beretta 92FS 9mm last week (Thursday, 3/1/12). I finally got the chance to fire about 200 rounds through it last night at the range. Silky smooth comes to mind when describing how it fires. This gun is easy to handle and very, very accurate. After the first shot, the hammer is cocked and ready for single action firing with an extremely smooth trigger pull. Each round was fired with confidence and I experienced absolutely no jams or delays. I even purchased the 30 round magazine that works perfectly and keeps you firing for twice as long as a standard 15 round magazine. I have a total of 6 magazines for this gun at the range and I unloaded all 6 last night; twice! Field stripping the weapon at home after the range was a breeze. So, now it's all clean and ready to go again. If you are still questioning whether to purchase this firearm, please visit your local range and inquire about whether they have one that you can rent for a while at the range. You will notice what myself and many others have learned about this firearm. This has been a standard carry firearm for our US military. The 92FS has truly been battle tested. All that's left for me to do at this point is to go back to the range and enjoy firing this beautiful piece of craftsmanship again today, which is definitely my plan. My next purchase will be the PX4 Storm .45 ACP. Trust me, I will definitely keep you posted with details. So, stay tuned. In the meantime, stop thinking about it and go on out and purchase the Beretta 92FS or firearm made by Beretta. I don't think that you will have any regrets at all. So, go and get your very own today. Take that next step, you owe it to yourself. Buy Beretta and you'll be set for life!

The best

Review:

This is simply the best 9mm you can get. It gets all the looks at the range, most likely because it is dead sexy, and never fails to go bang or hit the mark. Sure Glocks work well, but life is too short to go thru it with such an ugly gun. This one is a work of art that I have put thousands of rounds thru. I just ordered a PX4 Storm Subcompact for daily carry and look forward to getting to know it too.

My wife bought a Px 4 Storm, loves it. I wanted to get us on the same ammo platform, so I bought the 92 FS. Out of the box, it performed perfectly. Very accurate and easy to shoot. Well designed. You can tell a lot of testing and engineering went into this handgun.

Easy to field srtip for cleaning. Nothing could be better. As I see it, this is my side arm from here on out.

YEARS AGO I BOUGHT A RUGER KP89. I NEVER WAS REALLY SATISFIED WITH IT. THREE WEEKS AGO I TRADED A COUPLE SINGLE ACTION REVOLVERS FOR A 92FS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE SATISFIED EXCEPT FOR (LIKE 1 OTHER PERSON SAID) I USE A LOT MORE AMMO. IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO SHOOT THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO QUIT. I LIKED THE BERETTA SO MUCH THAT AT A LOCAL SHOW THIS WEEK I TRADED OFF MY RUGER KP89 FOR A PX4 STORM AND NOW IT'S A TOSS UP AS TO WHICH ONE IS MORE FUN TO SHOOT. SINCE I BOUGHT THE 92FS TO DATE I'VE PURCHASED CLOSE TO 1500 ROUNDS OF AMMO. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND MAKING THIS SO MUCH FUN.

Better than a Timex watch!

Review:

It just keeps on shooting & shooting. After two weeks & 500 rounds, this extreemly fine handgun has had no problems at all. It is the most comfortable handgun to shoot. You never get tired, it never wears you down. The only problem so far is that I find that I am shooting three times as much ammo as I plan to each visit to the range. I bought this so I would save money by shooting the 9mm ammo which is the least expensive centerfire but I find that I am shooting much more ammo than I anticipated. (Oh yeah, I am having much more fun also.) My recomendation is buy this pistol and shoot it alot!

Why I chose the Beretta 92FS

Review:

The first gun I ever bought was a Taurus PT99. After using it a bit I realized I wasn't too happy with it and went looking for something better. Since I did like the size of the gun and some features I decided to check out the Beretta seeing as how that's what it was based off of. My first Beretta was an M9 that I got used. Someone had bought it as a collector piece and never fired it. I instantly fell in love with it after one day at the range. I work as an armed guard in FL and since you have to use a 9mm I went with the M9/92FS. I tried Glock, but I keep coming back to the Beretta. I recently purchased a 92FS, so now I've got two and couldn't be happier. Thanks for making such a great, reliable gun.

Beautifully designed handgun I ever had

Review:

It's finally the best pistol I have ever owned. Why? In the last few years, I have had this problem of buying, selling and trading different handguns every month because I couldn’t be satisfied with any of those. But when I ran onto the stainless steel Beretta 92FS and purchased it, the chain of my habitual “buy, sell, trade” syndrome finally has been broken. My wife was very happy about it because she doesn‘t like to see rapid money drainage in our checking account. A month later, I bought the 96. Again, a month later, I purchased the blued Berretta 92FS and loved it. I can't say enough about those pistols so I highly recommend this handgun to anyone. They won’t be disappointed. Please do believe me! I truly love them so I would not sell them for any price. I love the high-capacity, the quality and exceptionally solid feel of those guns, not to mention natural accuracy granted by the sighting system and rubber grip style which is the only change I’ve made from the stock grips. Now I love my 92FS more than any other gun I own, including the Springfield Armory XD9M. My last week’s purchase of the 84FS Cheetah has confirmed that I’m a totally Beretta fan now.

Great handgun, after over 1000 rounds have had no problems. However, there is some wear on the left side of the barrel (while pointing the gun out) where it meets the slide on the front sight area. Strange, it does not have any wear on the right side. Other than that a Great Gun.

Absolutely great ergonomics, trigger, action, accuracy and function. several of us,who used the M9 daily as base security, spent a few hours hammering supertight groups at 25yds unsupported and then played poker with the sniper's small card targets at 20 yds for hours! Handles my favorite 9mm JHP +P+ Ranger and Speer Gold Dot rds like a charm. An equal match to my CZ! Worth the extra trouble of not fitting the regular fitted M9/92 holsters-Blade Tech has model holsters for it!

I purchased the 90-two in .40 cal because it is the first pistol I found that fits my large hands. Those of you who share that problem take a very good look at the 90_two. Only problem is that the slide release is not ambidexterous. Great pistol otherwise.

Review:

Bought this gun in Oct. 2011. It was love at first sight, as I was going to buy a Walther P99 but once the 90-Two was in my hands I couldn’t let go. Took her home and have put 700 rounds of various 9mm brands through this gun. Very satisfied with the feel and accuracy. This is a gun I will keep as a favorite for many years. I have heard rumors that Beretta has discontinued the 90-Two line. Really? That would make this what? an anemic 5 year run. Cant order the thin hand grip or 90-Two holsters from Berettas website, (sold-out) So is this the lifespan of Next Gen pistols? I am still confident about this purchase, I just hope Beretta doesn’t abandon us Dash Two owners.

Got the Px4 Subcompact to replace my carry gun. At the range I noted the first 4 to 5 rounds were in the bullseye at 21 feet. The next 8 rounds were below the center. Shot 3 magazines. All the same. I test fired the full size, compact and the sub-compact and shot he best with the sub-compact .40. I wouldn't think I would for the size of my hands, but with the large back strap it fit like a glove. I have the Beretta pancake holster also and what a nice fit under my shirt. A well engineered weapon that shoots, works, cleans and does not give its shape when worn.

Great gun

Review:

This is actually my first firearm. I wanted something compact yet powerful and reliable. This sub-compact is all that and more. For a 9mm in a small package it is a very controllable pistol. It's comfortable to hold in spite of it's small size. I fired over 400 rounds through it and it works flawlessly. Workmanship on this pistol is outstanding. five stars all the way.

Really happy with this one!!!

Review:

I had looked for a while for a concealed carry weapon and just hadn't found one that caught my interest and felt right in my hand too. I first saw the PX-4 at a gun show. I noticed a difference immediatly as it lay in the display case... "I'm more"! It said. More than just another square plastic and metal sub compact. When I held it in my hand, we made a connection... It seemed to be custom contoured for my hand. All of the buttons and levers were set just right, So the action of flipping off the safety or dropping the clip was smooth, not "OH! Wait... Well it just needs to break in a little". I truely enjoy this gun. .40 cal fires wonderfully smooth. I think the slightly larger slide really helps with the recoil. Accurate and I haven't experienced any jamming. I really like the pinky extension but I do have a concern that it may not drop down if I were in a high pressure situation. Due to my large grip, I tend to grab on or below it. But either way, it stills shoots accurately. Thank you Berretta.....

Beretta Px4 Storm Sub- Compact 9mm

Review:

Have shot about 500 rounds now over several months and have not had the first problem. I really like the way the sub compact feels and the recoil is even less than I had anticipated. It is very easy to break down and reassemble. Cleaning it is very easy. Very happy with the sub compact.

Px4 Storm Sub-compact 40 cal

Review:

I did not want to write a review until I had some serious time with my Px4 Storm sub 40. I have owned and carried and shot this pistol now for 6 months with approx. 700 rounds at the range and still find this an excellent Pistol.
I have only shot Winchester White-box target in 165 and 180 grain (700 rounds) and also approx. 40 rounds of Federal Personal Defense 180 grain HSHP. with very accurate results and very good control, and absolutely no failures/jams of any kind.

I exclusively use the original backstrap and always use the extended clip as it gives perfect handhold. I have fairly large palm but short finger reach and the LOP for trigger position is perfect for me. The pistol is fairly thick, and after trying several IWB holters, I found that Crossbreed to be by far the most comfortable, and can wear all day without issue. I highly recommend this model. especially in 40

Another one of Beretta's finest weapons

Review:

I love shooting... I married a woman that did not... After getting her and her sister to the range, she started looking at her own firearms. When she told me that, I tried steering her towards the Berettas. After much research she came across the PX4s. We went to Bass Pro to handle them so she could get the feel. My wife has very small hands and she found it hard to find something she was comfortable with. After picking up the PX4 SC she fell in love. The style, feel, action, etc... I too fell in love with the PX4. We found a spot online and purchased the PX4 SC. When the weapon finally came in, right out of the box it was very accurate, reliable and fun to shoot. With the 9mm version we have put several rounds down range of many types. The only issue we came across was my wife being a new shooter, she would limp wrist it and have a jam. Along with her incorrect shooting stance and her size (very petite) I do not blame the weapon. The weapon has never jammed on me nor had any other malfunction. Because most women won't listen to their husbands, I had the range instructor give her a few tips... My wife now has her own carrying case, ear defenders, and glasses and loves to shoot her PX4 SC any chance she can. She has not had any more issues with jamming after her brief instruction w/ the range coach and absolutely loves her new PX4 SC. I enjoyed shooting the PX4 SC so much I purchased the PX4 .45… Both are great guns at a great price.

Review:

Well, after carying a competitive model 9mm for quite some time, I have adjusted to the size and comfort of the PX4 Sub Conpact with IWB holster. It took a little doing but now it is comfortable regarding thie little extra size. It's nice to know that I have the protection if needed. I'm not completely sold on the holster I have but the PX4 does not inhibit sit down comfort even whe driving. I wouldn't however carry it to the symphony or opra. Summary...Don't leave home without it. If you decide to carry, take a safety training course, CCW Course, Home Defense Course and know your responsibility.

New PX4 Type F Sub Compact

Review:

Very Impressed! Just returned from the range after shooting the PX4. Put about 150 rounds of Remington and Herters through it in about an hour and it performed flawlessly. I was very impressed with the accuracy as I am not an expert but shoot much more than the average person I think as it is a hobby. Guessing about 200 rounds a month. I own three 9mm's and this is the first Baretta. It holds well on target and low recoil are a real plus. At 12 ft. 10 were in a three inch pattern. At 21 ft. all were in the 7x10 inch zone very close. I was impressed to say the least. The grip is great but shot today with the medium backstrap that prooved comfortable. In addition, I really like the decocker what a great feature as I do like a safety. This will be come my carry gun for most I will know much more about the evaluation after a few hundred more rounds. I would reccomend this pistol for home defense and carry.

Flawless transition from a 92FS to Px4 sc

Review:

I have been trainig with and cc a 92FS. What a great firearm. I was looking for something smaller of course. I thought seriously about a new 357 snubbie but after checking the balistics charts for a 2" 357 vs a 3" 9mm I found there isn't much difference. That being the case I decided to go with more rounds and less recoil.

Well, I thought about many but came to the conclusion that the PX4 was the best choice. The operating, handling, and accuracy of it is vertualy identical to the 92FS. No retraining my automatic reflexes to do something else. The first group I fired was dead on the X ring all 5 holes touching one another at 7 yards! Perfect. Thank you Beretta.

The best sub-compact 9mm I've ever fired

Review:

Having been in law enforcement for the past 26 years and counting. I have owned, and carried, a large variety of off-duty handguns. I have to say that my PX4 in 9mm tops them all. It fits my hand perfectly and shoots like a professionally tuned custom pistol that you pay thousands for. My wife even thought it was amazing and can't wait to shoot it. I am now looking to purchase a PX4 in 40 cal and 45 acp next, thats how much this weapon has impressed me. Way to go Beretta!

Review:

I was looking for a 9mm compact or subcompact for cc and also just something different as well as caliber to shoot at the range other then 40SW. Well, it didn't take long after watching video reviews on youtube and taking a trip at a local gun shop to see how the px4 felt in my hand and that's all it took....Sold. Had to wait a few days of course to get it which was no fun, but when the day came, a friend and I took it to the range right away to test it out. We purposely saved shooting the px4 last after using a 22s revolver, 2 22lr mp161k rifles, 40SW 24/7 G2, and then the px4. It shot flawlessly and my friend whose hands and fingers are a bit larger then mine even loved the way the px4 felt in his hand. For not being close to broken in, after 50 rounds (only because we were there for quite awile already) the groups were still an inch to two inches apart. Not dead on the bullseye, but still within the second and 3rd rings out at 7 yards. I'm sure that will improve with time. Great gun for anyone!

Just purchased the PX4 Storm Subcompact. I've put 160 rounds through it without any problems. The gun groups real well but unfortunately it's 4" low and 4" to the left at 7 yards. I guess I'll have to spend another $200 to get the adjustable sights and the tool to install them. :(

Best subcompact ever

Review:

I just recently purchased the px4 storm subcompact in 40 s&w. Let me tell ya this is by far the best sc handgun I've ever handled! I got it in 40s&w because I wanted a bigger caliber than a 9mm and smaller than 45mm the recoil is so minimal and the accuracy is incredible! It's a meatier sc so it feels like I'm actually carrying a gun and not a toy like other sc pistols.. I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for the perfect mixture of power and concealment!! The folks at beretta are definitely on their game!! So far 100 rounds through and not one malfunction!! Keep up the good work guys... I'll b buying more beretta equipment in the future for sure!! Oh yea one last thing....the px4 storm sc is made in the U.S.A!!! And I love it!!!!

I love my 1911 but found it wasn't a practical conceal carry handgun. Went to a local gun show, looked at every sub-compact there and decided on the Px4 Storm. After my first trip to the range, I couldn't be happier with this little autoloader. Easy to handle, low recoil (9mm), accurate, and operates flawlessly right out of the box. Got a little inside-the -waistband holster and it carries very comfortably. Looking forward to a long, happy relationship with this little pistol.

Best Sub-Compact

Review:

The PX4 Storm Sub-Compact is hands down the best sub-compact I have ever fired. I am a rather large man with XXL size hands and other sub-compacts are just too lean for my hand to effectively grip. This one is just beefy enough to get a great grip on. Additionally, This pistol has been 100% reliable with six different brands of ammo and is as easy to shoot very accurately. As a matter of fact, it holds it's owne shooting side by side with my larger 9mm pistols. Great accuracy and dependability, Thanks Beretta !

Nice Subcompact

Review:

I bought this pistol about 2 weeks ago and have now been to the range 3 times. I am used to the full size Px4 and I also have a 96A1, both .40 caliber. I decided to get a 9mm because I was concerned about the recoil but I should have been. It takes a little getting used to firing but after 3 times I'm very satisfied. Also, two magazines come with the gun but only one has the extension on the bottom. You can buy extensions for $12 but right now they are out. If you are looking for a gun for CCW this gun should be considered. Of course Beretta quality and the "cool" factor should make you choose the Px4.

*This pistol is simply amazing. Besides reading the descriptions and specifications, this pistol has a very suprisingly low recoil for a sub-compact in .40 S&W. Also another key factor is the accuracy of this pistol.

I've tried the other polymer subcompact firearms out there and the PX4 subcompact wins hands down. Ergos are second to none with a trigger pull that is surprisingly light in double or single action. I hope to see all of the PX4 models stay in Beretta's line-up for a very long time.

I am so impressed with my Bride's new PX4Storm Sub-Compact. I am a Life-Long 1911 man and when the PX4 came into my Bride's field of view it was all over but the cryin'. She'd loved it since the day she first laid eyes on it and I scoffed. She threw rocks at the small Rugers, Kahrs, S&Ws, etc.. but when she laid hands on the PX4, well, my dealer laid hands on my debit card. I am no longer a "Doubting Thomas". That little pistol is so well built, so well designed and engineered. I am so very impressed and the Bride, well she is just simply ecstatic and accurate as can be. Thank you all for keeping my wife a happy and obviously very smart shopper. God bless and may business always be brisk.~Benny

Flawless in form and function!

Review:

I recently completed my 9MM Storm collection with a PX4 Compact. I now own the SC, C, and Full-Size, as well as the Carbine CX4.

Now I will tell you that I truly never set out to own one of each. But after buying my first---the Full-Size---I just couldn't help myself. The design (shape, size, capacity, feel in the hand, etc.) is absolutely perfect. I especially appreciate the ability to load the pistol and rack a round in "safe mode"---allowing me to carry confidently with a round in the chamber and the safety on. And it certainly doesn't hurt that the magazines are interchangeable.

But the most important factor of all: they perform flawlessly! After 1000s of rounds, I have had zero malfunctions of any sort; there is very little recoil (increasing slightly as you go from CX4 to SC, as expected); and the accuracy is unparalleled.

The funny thing is, I used to anguish over which gun to carry ... Now I just anguish over which Beretta! Bravo, Beretta, Bravo!!!

Upgraded to the .40 for concealed carry. After cleaning and installing the large back strap 3 of us ran 180 rounds through it with no problems. The smallest shooter was my 5'2" daughter (who is trying to claim this as her own) and had no problem with recoil.

We were all well satisfied with handling and accuracy. Hits a little low at 60 yards but after 2 ranging shoots the innocent coffee can went flying.

A keeper.

Beretta Px4 Storm F-type SC .40SW

Review:

This is my second Beretta (after the Neos) and this is another extremely well built and designed gun. It is small, beautiful, slim. Shooting it is a pleasure, the recoil is more reassuring than intimidating (I shot .454, now, there is a recoil) and my wife handles it extremely well, too. It is accurate, has not malfunctioned so far. I found competing subcompacts too uncomfortable to hold with a secure grip, would not get any other than this gun.

I was very surprised and pleased that the recoil was comparable to that of my full-size 40 and is an easy gun to handle.

The Px4 combines elegance, accuracy and power in this sturdy little sub-compact pistol. This gun feels great in hand and makes for easy target acquisition. I have the .40 cal version and do not find the recoil to be problematic at all. I've run several hundred rounds through it now and have had zero failure issues. The slide release button wasn't working initially. I contacted Beretta and they told me there is a break-in period. I have recently found the button loosening up just as they said it would. This is an amazing weapon and has been perfect for concealed carry, just as I had hoped.

Storm PX4 Sub Compact in 9mm

Review:

I just purchased this pistol on Saturday at a local gun show. I'm ambidextrous, but mostly left handed and I've been looking for a pistol that wasn't going to be too awkward for me. I've been researching semi-autos for about 3 months now both on the internet and at local shops. I finally came up with this. I started further researching on YOU TUBE for reviews, field stripping, cleaning, and firing and found very favorable reviews. I just completed the NRA's "First Step" training class to learn to handle this baby properly. The slide DID NOT lock back after the very first time with one shot in it, but did not fail after that. I shot 200 rounds that day without any problems. My first two shots were a little low, but after that I kept EVERYTHING in the 9 and 10 ring for the rest of the day. I've only shot a .25 prior so even an extreme amateur like me can do well with this gun. I now have a gun for life.

PERFECTO!

Review:

I'll confess that I've been an ol' stick in the mud when it comes to handguns, and I have always had a strong preference for wheel guns. The Px4 Storm Type F Sub-compact in 9mm is my first pistol. I bought it for concealed carry, and I chose it primarily for its size and safety features. I would have probably preferred the .40-cal, but I got the 9mm because I thought it might be slightly less intimidating if my wife and daughters decided to give it a try. Regardless, I am impressed! This is truly a fantastic little pistol that performs flawlessly and is arguably the perfect concealed carry firearm. It's surprisingly accurate for a short-barreled pistol, and the recoil is minimal. I'm getting kind of long in the tooth, but I'm impressed with the groups I shoot all the way out to 25 yards (the limit of my indoor range). Fit is very important to me, too. I'm a big guy (6-8, 350ish) and have big hands, but with the extra large backstrap, this pistol fits quite nicely. (I can't get my pinky around it, but I can live with that.) This is quite possibly the best investment I've ever made in a firearm, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend. In fact, I already have--several times. Buy this sweet little pistol, and you won't be sorry!

PERFECTION!!!!!!!!

Review:

I just purchased the 96A1 and only shot 50 rounds through it (so far)and just like the other reviews stats, it really is that good, I am prior military and law enforcement and have shot many hand guns including the 92, and this weapon by all means out performs. It actually is like an extension of you hand when you fire it. When you have a name like Beretta, that really explaines it all, they are not the oldest gun manufacturar in the world for no reason. Quality and perfection sayes it best, I highly reccommend....

Great gun, No Holster Options

Review:

I purchased this gun to replace my current tired duty gun. The gun shoots great and I love it. This is a great gun and the subtle changes made in the 96A1 from previous models I like. Unfortunately this also makes it so the gun does not fit in previous holster models. I can not find law enforcement duty or tactical holster to carry it in. I bought this due to the tactical rail and ability to carry it with a light on. The lack of holster options is ridiculous and while this is not Beretta's fault it is a downside when I purchase a major brand like Beretta and still can not carry the gun on duty due to lack of holster models.

Review:

This was my first Beretta though my son has both a storm and a compact storm.

All I could say after the first magazine was wow! I have never picked up a handgun and have been so accurate out of the box. The rail makes it convenient to attach my tac lite. The recoil for it's size is minimal, smooth as glass with absolutely no issues. I installed aftermarket finger style rubber grips and it feels like a part of my hand now. Great product!

Review:

96A1 is my second Beretta in 4 weeks. Only 50 rounds so far but very accurate out of the box. From 40', standing in 8 inches of snow, managed 36 for 50 on an 8" target. Not bad for me, not bad at all.
Unlike the PX4 Storm 9mm, which I love, I didn't have to figure out how to shoot it. Just line up the dots and press. I have two XDms two Glocks and like my two Beretta's the most, for now.

Review:

I'll defer to the law enforcement folks in here, but add my high regards for the 96 for all the same reason. Have owned this for self defense and target plinking since 2003 and could not be happier. I qualified with the M1911 .45 as a Marine NCO and this piece is more accurate and still packs some punch. Good shooting all.

I have carried and used a Beretta 96 as my duty weapon for over 7 years. After thousands of rounds fired I have had one stove-pipe (fail to eject) The large grip helps dissipate the felt recoil. I only wish I had the 96A1 to add a weapon mounted light. This a classic, great weapon that is ultra-reliable.

Review:

I had spent some time looking for a full-size .40 and came across this at a local show. The gun fits perfectly in your hand. I saved up some cash and picked one up a few months later. I have now owned it for 7 months and cannot be happier with my decision. It is extremely accurate, easy to maintain and a real hoot to shoot. Need a pistol for concealment and will most likely stick with one of Beretta's sub-compact models after owning this AMAZING firearm.

Review:

Finally got my hands on this pistol. It feels like it was molded to my hand. Balance and weight are spot on. I fell in love with this model when I started looking for a full-size range gun and in a .40 cal.. When I first saw the 90-two in a .40 cal. I was speechless, this is exactly what I have been searching for in a full-size. So, I was at a local gun show looking for a 90-two when I came across this the 96A1. It has the look and feel of the 92F but it is a .40 cal.. Which is exactly what I have been looking for.

I have a normal 40 caliber PX4 Storm and Love that gun as well, but the Special Duty is even Better because its got better parts like a steel guide rod and not plastic like the regular PX4 Storm, also the Special Duty has a Double recoil spring and Not single like the normal PX4 Storm, just the overall look and feel of the Special Duty screams Quality above and beyond the normal PX4 Storm!!! I havent even shot it yet, Im doing so tomorrow and Cant wait :)

Outstanding quality

Review:

This pistol was in the running with other manufacturers to be the official sidearm of SOCOM when they felt the need for more power than the issue M9 9mm. The development and testing was halted prematurely so now Beretta (along with the other maunufacturers) continue to sell their offering.

The quality is everything I'd expect from Beretta. I really like the hard case that includes 3 mags, a cleaning kit, and 3 different grip sizes. I use the smallest grip available and it still has some girth to it. I was also able to easily cut the foam with a razor to accomodate a laser/tac-lite combo.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I need to have a trigger job done. There is too much travel in the trigger pull for my taste. The SA trigger pull is just not crisp enough for me.

Still a great pistol and definitely more distinctive than the stock PX4. I would still buy this pistol if given the chance to do it all over again.

Review:

I've fired many 45s in my life, but this is the smoothest 45ACP I've ever shot. Recoil is only negligible, and it simply looks awesome. Imagine the knockdown with a JHP round, God forbid I should ever need it. What more can I say, I love it!
Forever a Beretta fan. Also, have the 40S&W, and the Nano. Many will compare, but none better.

Too pretty to shoot...almost.

Review:

Shooting the PX4 Storm SD is an amazing experience. I'm used to the tilting barrel Sig P220 Stainless and the HK USP Tactical so going to the range with the Storm SD was definitely eye-opening (not group opening) to say the least. The rotating barrel design seemed to tame the recoil and make it go more into the wrist. The expected muzzle flip just didn't materialize. After getting acclimated to the feel, I was amazed at how well it handled and how accurate it was. Its controllable, softer shooting nature made for precise shots with rapid follow up shots and 100% reliability. I just can't say enough good things about the Storm SD. Well, I guess I can say one more thing: get one (like my gushing friends have)!

I AM CONSIDERING BUYING ANOTHER FOR COLLECTION INVESTMENT. I WISH BERETTA WOULD PROCUCE A HOLSTER FOR THIS PISTOL. I USE THE HOLSTER DESIGNED FOR THE OTHER MODELS OF THE PX4, BUT IT WILL ONLY WORK WITH THE SPECIAL DUTY AFTER MODIFICATION OF THE HOLSTER, BUT THE MODERATION IS RATHER SIMPLE.

From the land of Ferrari, comes a weapon of such precise engineering and manufacture it's just flawless. This will become your favorite large caliber. Easy to sight right out of the (incredibly mande!) case. Fatigue free!No other maker has this kind of feel, safety, mechanical reliability, and sighting ease. Clip after clip, shot after shot, this will become an icon for shooters demanding the best there is. Conceals pretty well with an outside belt holster, too. Gotta tour the factory in Maryland!

My first purchase and it is a sweet gun. Hardly any recoil when firing. Easy to take apart and reassemble. Changing the backstaps is a challange. The pin comes out easy but putting it back in is a PITA. If it is not all the way in it may interfere with the magazine going in tight. That's the only complaint I have with this gun. But it not something you are going to be doing all the time so it is a minor problem

So pleased with this gun - feels natural in my han

Review:

When my husband and I first looked at this gun, we both loved the feel of it. We were looking to buy a full-sized gun since my husband has huge meathook hands, and especially liked the adjustable backstrap option with this (as it turned out, we kept it at the medium one for both of us). I cannot imagine an easier gun to fieldstrip or to clean! The rotating barrel system really lives up to its billing as a low recoil gun, which helps with accuracy. I've put about 300-400 rounds through it so far, and it just keeps getting better. I'd definitely recommend the Px4 Storm to anyone looking for a handgun, either for sport or personal protection.

Police Officer Test: PX-4

Review:

I have been a Beretta Supporter for many years. I have attended the Armorer’s Course 3 times over the years. During my L.E. Career, I have carried either a Beretta 92 or 96 series. I have always been happy with that choice. I have had several articles published in various L.E. Magazines using one of the Beretta Products. I have known Van for years and respect his opinion.

I recently went to a new Department that has a very large handgun policy. When I started, I fell in with the 1911 crowd and have carried one for 2 years. However, I have recently had an injury to my neck-shoulder at work. One of the things the Doctor suggested was a lightweight .9mm until the area healed.

I was going to carry my Beretta 92A1. However, I was talking to Van and he suggested the PX4 in .9mm. I got one in a trade and decided to give it a try. Very accurate pistol. Low recoil probably due to the rotating barrel and it was lightweight on the Duty Belt. I shot it better than my 92A1.

So know, getting ready to go back on Duty, it will be a PX-4 F Model .9mm with a Streamlight M-3 Tactical Light in a Safariland 6280 Holster.

If you have never shot a PX-4, give it a try. I think you may like it.

I really want to love this gun. It looks great, feels great and shoots great... But the sights are off bad. To hit an 8" target at 30' I have to aim at the top of the paper to hit the 8" circle. At 40' or 50' its just luck. Groups are OK but I want to hit what I'm aiming at. With this gun at 30' I would have to aim for the neck to hit center mass. Iguesss it could be worse cause the gun is a pleasure to shoot with no problems mechanically. Gonna try the adjustable sights but if that doesnt help it back to the Glocks.
