Accokeek, MD (November 2, 2011) As the competitive clay target season winds to a close, the men and women of Team Beretta can look back at the 2011 season with pride knowing that they amassed an impressive 273 podium finishes. Before the season officially ended however, Team Beretta had one final chance to demonstrate their prowess at the 2011 National Sporting Clays Association National Championship.

The talented ladies of Team Beretta showcased their skills throughout the championship but Diane Sorentino’s FITASC Lady Championship and Lady Main RU demonstrated the experience and tenacity of a three-time national champion. Jenni Clark, a rising young star for Team Beretta, continued to shoot well beyond her years with a Main Lady Sub-Jr. Championship and a Super Sporting Lady RU title. Strong showings by Kimberly Weikel and former Olympian Haley Dunn set the stage for a competitive 2012 amongst all the ladies of Team Beretta. Not to be outdone, the men of Team Beretta finished the season strong with a 5-Stand Championship for both Travis Mears and Dan Carlisle (Veteran).

Theo Ribbs’ Main Junior Championship and Anthony Materese’s 3rd place overall finish capped off an impressive season. Bruce Ney, Scott Robertson and Gregg Wolfe each shot exceptionally well in the unpredictable October weather, contributing to the team’s show of strength at the National Championship. With the season officially complete upon the conclusion of the National Sporting Clays Championship, Team Beretta shooters look forward to an off-season of practice and the opportunity to become intimately familiar with their newly arriving 2012 Beretta shotguns–just in time to prepare for the fast approaching first shoot of the 2012 season.
