Accokeek, MD (May 11, 2011) As the competitive clay target season moves into full swing, the men and women of Team Beretta continue to set a blistering pace of podium placements. With only one third of the competitive season completed Team Beretta has amassed an impressive 109 podium finishes. Beginning with the Seminole Cup through the completion of the Zone 6 Championship, Team Beretta’s accomplishments include: • Seminole Cup: 27 overall trophies including a High Overall RU by Anthony Matarese Jr, Dan Carlisle’s Main and 5-Stand Veteran Champion placement and Diane Sorentino’s FITASC Lady Championship and Lady Main RU. Team Beretta’s youth contingent surprised few with their early season performance with Jenni Clark’s Lady Main and 5-Stand Lady Championship finishes, a 20G Lady Championship for Kimberly Weikel and Theo Ribbs’ Junior Main Champion finish. • Browning Briley: Team Beretta’s rising star Jenni Clark continued her winning ways with a FITASC Lady and 5-Stand Lady Championship and Main Lady RU finish. Former Olympian, and Beretta teammate, Haley Dunn joined Clark on the podium as the FITASC Lady RU. Kimberly Weikel’s 20G Lady Championship, .410 Lady RU and third place 28G Lady, along with Theo Ribbs’ Main Junior third place finish contributed to the strong outing by the young Beretta shooters. Not to be outdone, Dan Carlisle’s Main Veteran and 5-Stand Veteran Championships and Scott Robertson’s 28G and .410 HOA RU contributed to the strong showing by Team Beretta. • Zone 6 Championship: Jenni Clark and Haley Dunn continued to battle head-to-head throughout the shoot and each garnered podium finishes for Team Beretta. Clark finished with a Main Resident Lady and FITASC Lady Championship as well as a 5-Stand Lady RU, while Dunn earned a third place Main Resident Lady, third place 5-Stand Lady, and FITASC Lady RU. The men of Team Beretta finished strong with Scott Robertson’s Sub Gauge HOA honors and .410 Bore Championship and RU finishes in both Main and Main Resident while Travis Mears finished third in Main Resident. Not to be outdone by his sporting clays teammates, Leo Harrison III–Team Beretta’s veteran trap shooter–showcased his shotgun skills at the Southern Grand with nine podium finishes including a Doubles Championship RU, Singles Champion and the Handicap Champion. Leo continued his winning ways at the Southwestern Grand with a Handicap Champion podium and an All-Around Champion finish. As the competitive clay target season continues to heat up, Team Beretta shows no signs of cooling off anytime soon. All eyes should be on the lookout for the telltale victory blue of Team Beretta, starting at the top of the podium.
