North Platte waterfowl jacket

Excellent product obviously designed by a waterfowler. Wore it this am for our season opener. Great windbreaker, no rain encountered. Best part of this jacket is how easy it is to move, mount shotgun, etc. Most of my hunting coats don't move well, I usually shed them once in the blind, unless it's really raining hard. This is a longer coat, more like a parka, not a waist jacket. It is light/medium in weight but is reinforced along arm to the elbow with an extra layer of canvas-like material. Also has some sort of shoulder application which keeps shotgun/gear bag from slipping off your shoulder. Obviously an additional waterproof barrier, also. Fit is as advertised. I bought one size bigger than normal and it has a lot of room for layering. Closure is via zipper but it has Velcro patches instead of buttons to hold it in place if you don't want to zip it up. I like that feature. Another pleasant surprise: the wrists closures work well. Highly recommend this coat.
