BIS Hoody Convertible

It's actually a very functional jacket. I am a vest guy. I always layer with a vest while hunting, fishing, and shooting. The hoody convertible gives me the flexibility to wear as a vest or jacket, therefore, I typically start on a cold morning with jacket on and as day warms, unsnap the buttons and pull sleeves and hoody off. It compresses up small to stow away. Sit and glass on top of hill, just pull out and snap back on even without taking of vest. Cool feature! Its not a real warm jacket though. The insulation is primaloft and will work down to 20 F. Excellent versatile piece for 20-65F. Any colder, grab your down puffy. I'm 6'3" 192lbs, the XL fits great. At a price of $95 now, its a phenomenal deal. For mountain hunting, I wear a merino shirt, First Lite Sawtooth jacket and then Beretta BIS Hoody Convertible, with a light rain/wind jacket in pack and good to go.

Novel, but tight across shoulders

5'-10" 170#. bought sz L along with Goose Jacket for wear under sz L Light Active Jacket or Active Mars Jacket. Runs small/tight on me- just enough room for a medium base layer, short in torso, very tight across shoulders and in axilla when shouldering a gun- somewhat solved by undoing pectoral snaps; thumbhole cuff is redundant with Jackets; hood is "helmet compatible" large. On seam pockets are invisible and stay out of way. Very packable. No rain or wind >20mph at 38deg, no problem; a light, hooded shell fixes those problems. As a vest only- all complaints go away! Torso hangs longer, it fits over a medium base layer and thick sweater. It is possible that the hood/sleeves for and XL would fit me better, but then, I'd be swimming in the vest portion. Needs one or two interior breast pockets. No regrets. Will wear 'till it falls apart. One of the better quality control garments Hecho en China.
