"Jacket", not a "Coat"

I bought this thinking it would be a outer garment that could be worn on most winter days. Its well constructed and comfortable but naming it "X-Warm" is a misnomer. Its good to about the mid 20's, anything colder than that and you are going to want more. Also its not wind proof. If you are looking for a very nice down sweater, I'd highly recommend this jacket, but if you are looking for something to wear all winter, this isn't the jacket for you.

Good Layering

I've had this about a week and used it in 5 to -5 temps. It is NOT suitable for an exterior jacket in cold weather, wind cuts through it. I am 5'10" and weigh 217. XL fits over long underwear and a heavy flannel shirt then under my XL upland jacket. The hood works well with a beanie on but it does not have a draw string to keep the wind out. It is a good layer when the weather is cold and a good outer jacket in moderate temps.
